Leeds have terminated Spence's loan. Interesting, he was playing regularly when not injured. He'd fit this system at RB so much better than Emerson too... I wonder if there's an attitude issue with him. Really would like to see him given a shot though, there's a player in there. Edit: He can play further up the pitch too and with Son at the Asian Cup, Veliz injured (meaning Richarlison has to play CF and not shift LW for a bit), Perisic injured long term and Solomon still likely a few weeks away, there'd surely be an opening for Spence up top too.
Attitude has frequently been the rumoured issue. I saw some footage of him playing what looked like an inverted LB role a couple of weeks ago at Leeds and he looked decent. Spence has a tonne of potential but it’s always been a mentality thing that his managers have talked about.
Yeah I do wonder if that's the cause of the termination and also why Ange sanctioned the original loan, from a playing perspective I thought he'd love Spence for his system. Far more suited to it than Emerson and could probably help out further up the pitch too with his pace, especially right now.
Split reports on whether we recalled him or Leeds sent him back. Timing seems odd given he had started to feature after spending a couple of months getting fit.
Just reading some of the Leeds’ lads stuff. “Attitude” and “played like he’s not arsed” were frequently used . ****ing idiot, man. Could go far in the game if he got his head down.
Rumours are Spence is lazy, doesn`t like to track back and is not a team player. If you believe that it sounds like we have another Ndombele on our hands, great talent but zero work rate or applicaiton.
Spence and Reguilon both sent back as soon as possible. I quite rate Spence’s ability but that’s worrying. Someone (hopefully Ange) needs to have a word with him before he throws his career away.
Reguilon did ok for us going forward and was average at defending. He would have got more game time if Wan Bissaka had been injured for longer, then Dalot would have stayed at RB and Reguilon would have had LB to himself. As it was Bisakka came back so Dalot moved to LB since he is competant on both sides and obviously a club first team squad player.
That’s generally how we’ve rated him too. Good at going forward but can be erratic defensively. Jose found the trick to making him good defensively though (at least for a game) - he challenged Reguilon that if he won all of his tackles against Mahrez he’d buy him an Iberico Ham leg. Reguilon won 100% of his tackles against Mahrez
It does have to be said that his recent string of starts was at LB when Byram was injured, so he was basically backup to both FBs - and that’s after doing his knee within a week or two of going out
Dragusin Watch Di Marzio says that Napoli have submitted an offer Way to make it obvious what Dragusin's agent is up to there... Exodus Watch Football BSider claim that Eric Dier has agreed terms with Bayern Maybe wait and see if anyone credible reports this...
Without meaning to sound uppity, I'd hoped Dragusin would be a done deal by now. I hope Levy isn't trying to Drag-us-in to another protracted month-long saga to save £2million. Coat's already on.
the agent who wants to wait for his brucy bonus? Thought the terms had already been agreed the agents getting his cut
All signs suggest that Dragusin's agent is the issue, given he can't keep his ****ing gob shut for five minutes
Even Romano’s jumping on the Dier-Bayern story now. Though sounds like they’re doing a Paratici and keeping a few irons in the fire so it’s not a definite that he’s their main target. What an unreal move though, from failing to even oust the horrendous Emerson from bloody CB, to joining one of football’s elite. Football, funny ol’ game.
