Thing is the fans are blaming the ref but it was var that put him in that position, we all know if they are sent to the monitor they are being told to change their mind - not fair to blame the guy on the field. This is var for you.

 

Think its wrong that its only used in some games and not all. Should be all or none - simple as that.

 

should just scrap the shhite altogether. We can't blame the system or the refs if we are prepared to accept it.

Agree, and it can't help ref's instinctive decision making to have to chop between the backstop or not.

Well they said it would require PL clubs to agree to change venues. That normally would require a meeting of some form or another.

 

Fans will be nervous drawing Everton out of the pot for the 4th round draw, nobody would want to see a game like that again.

 

I've seen worse decisions before VAR, Balbuena at Chelsea springs to mind

 

Arsenal are the worst VAR victims though apparently.

 

At least I don't have to suffer it now.

 

The trouble is when the ref is called to the screen, it's virtually got to the stage where you are looking at a frame, rather than the entirety of the move, so in the frame it looks bad - the pundit in the studio saying the ref can go with his instinct, well he already had before he was sent to the screen. It's easy to sit on your arse in a studio and blame the ref, you've never been in that situation.

 

Saw it and wondered when you'd bring it up.
