He was never as good as most fans thought he was. Unfortunately for him he prioritised money over his development. All that glitters .....
If you score 4 I reckon you will win comfortably. Our confidence is fragile and we aren’t scoring freely since our key strikers got injured, so I can see that happening if you score early. Otherwise it could be a frustrating 1-0 (going either way) or 0-0/1-1
Slightly disappointed not to get more but definitely a decent point considering Ipswich didn't win. How did you think Norwich performed?
Like a team which has individuals with quality, but too many have just come back from injury and so lacking in seamless teamwork - we weren’t brilliantly organised. But we got a bit of luck and survived the Saints storm. On balanced, we didn’t really deserve the draw, but we’ve failed to win in similar scenarios too often, so I know how frustrating it is and credit to some last ditch defending. That being said, I don’t think Saints missed any sitters. It was a slightly frustrating watch, other than the last 25 mins or so.
That's fair. Without Sargeant I don't think you looked any threat. Both teams perhaps a game too much at the moment. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Cantwell now got 3 goals and three assists in 21 games at Rangers. Dowell has scored two goals in 8 games. I don’t think either of them is taking Scottish football by storm
Watched the Old Firm Derby, and both were average to say the least. Dowell looked better than Cantwell
They equalised in the 89th minute so their gap over 3rd is down to 1 point. If you look at the form in the last 6 games Southampton are 1st and Ipswich 15th
Pretty remarkable to go from ten points ahead of third to one in a space of a few weeks. We all know where their slump, started!
And yet, they are still in second place, having lost only once -- to Leeds at Elland Road -- and having played the league leaders twice in that time. More remarkable IMO is Southampton's eight match run over that same period, in which they've dropped only two points (again against us).
Yes the top 4 are going like trains and any dropped points hurts them badly (except perhaps Leicester who seem to have broken free)
