In the case of Chelsea, I think the players force the hand of the owners - the higher paid players want guarantees of top 6/european place finishes. If it looks like not happening, their agents inform the club that they'll look to move unless a change is made. Obviously not the case with Birmingham, but clearly an international player is going to have a huge advantage as a new manager, with knowledge and experience, but I wouldn't have personally have thought Rooney was good at expressing this to other players - his interviews rarely offered insight. Strange initial hire.
The football industry is terrified that someone from the outside could come in and show them up for what they are, by creating a winning team without first being a 'famous' name in football that has been indoctrinated in their ways.
I think this is the ideal time for Shota Arveladze to make a comeback in the Championship. I’m sure Acun can have a word with Tom Brady.
Birmingham players saw him for the fraud he was and stopped playing for him, I could imagine his training schedules, his coaches doing all the training and him showing the team how he can bang a goal in from 30 yards.
Think Michael Owen would be worse, would just show off that he can lob a bit of paper in a bin from forty paces blindfolded.
Apparently he did not take the training sessions at other clubs. None of his coaches at the Blues had much coaching experience. Bit on a 3.5 year reportedly £1.5M per year he is in line for a big payout
Isn't 6 months the usual payout for a sacking, it’s never the full contract, still 750k though, not bad for failure
There is no standard, the starting point will be the full value of the contract unless something else was pre agreed. Any compo be offset by any future employment within the term of his contract though. It'll still have been a very expensive gamble for them as they've needlessly had to pay off 2 managers now.
Frankly, this season I couldn't give a **** about the 3rd round of the sweet FA cup. It's a chance to get some minutes in fringe legs. Get the first 16 or so some time on the training ground and a couple of weeks to nurse knocks etc. Were letting kids in for a quid, should play the kids and if we get a 4th round tie it's a bonus, that and one of Morton 3 game bans will have got used up.
I think that the thousands of us paying to go watch the game give a **** about the FA Cup, you sit at home and post bollocks on here while we turn up and support the team
Does anyone know when we’ll hear the appeal decision for Tyler? That’s assuming that we’re lodging an appeal.
