It’s was a cracking finish mate, and Clarkes run was brilliant when he could’ve went over.

Rusyn's movement was different class, timed it to perfection - love strikers who have that explosiveness to get across defenders

I am starting to think we should sign Shankland just for the giggles mate. He is perennially linked it seems. I am personally not convinced his style suits us, but over to the experts for that. I would definitely like a centre forward in, and one who is used to the pace and intensity of the level. Maybe it is him. If he were in to complement Rusyn and Mayenda I would be ok with the different combinations.

Norwich should rely on Sergant imho. He is a very good centre forward for me. Will be on a big salary otherwise I would be advocating him for us.

I've asked my mate as he knows a few folk behind the scene at hearts and he says its anywhere between 2-4 million

He says if the old firm come in theyll likely try n get closer to 4 million but would probably accept less from a championship side - as long as most is paid up front.

He is strange. At a glance he looks ****e, but when you focus and look at his involvement he is a very good player.

    Baffles me that one.

Can't see us paying 4m for a 28yr old. Maybe the lower end at about 2m. Is this Beale having an influence on recruitment from his time up there do you reckon?

I'd have shankland all day long. Followed his career and is now at his peak. Very good finisher and his hold up and link play very good. Lacks pace but more pros than cons. Also a leader and would lead line and a great foil for JC and Roberts. What is clear from today is we need more depth. Pembele and mayenda are okay to throw on for odd minutes but nowhere near starters

Nah i dont think Beale will have anything to do with recruitment

Yeah if its around 2 million i would say its worth the risk - i would structure it tho so we arent paying it all up front. Hes only got 18 months on his contract.

Shankland wants to move to rangers so i suspect his agent will be trying to get them to bid for him

I would give Pembele a few months re fitness mate. His level in France was very high. Agree today he looked like a fish out of water, but the pedigree is good.

Fair enough mate, watched him live a few times and really worry about his physicality (the tempo) of the league.

Pembele just needs minutes, working his way back from a bad injury so we wont see the best out of him for a few months. He will be back up to hume, hopefully gets minutes to show what a player he can be

Mayenda is def one for the future, reckon he will be class but wont be a big player for us for another yr or so

I think we lose a couple of big players this window unfortunately. Probably Nei, as a man. Pressure is getting too much.

I'm not saying he's not going to come good but not this season. The thing about these young French kids is they need to learn how to play men's football in a very competitive league. Totally alien to what they are used too

I am with you mate. Oddly Michut had the tools but we let him go. I think he would be giving us options now.

Loads of interest in him from some big clubs

My mates club have been watching him for ages, he doesnt think theyll be bidding on him in Jan but he said that we will def have bids in for him from other clubs from what hes heard.

Hopefully can keep him till end of season or worse case we sell but a loan back to us

Sure you mentioned liverpool having a bid in for him in the summer, they had a scout at the game watching us today
