Disappointed not to get the three points but felt we did our best and came close. Not easy to win them all and energy levels were slightly lower. Probably still had the chances to win. On to Walsall who came from behind to score six today.
It's a decent enough point I feel as they always carried a threat but once we took the lead it's a bit of a shame to not see it out. Martin was much slower with his changes today it felt like. Think a bit of fatigue might be kicking in as well tbh. Not as hectic the next couple of weeks. Walsall and Sheffield Wednesday to make history.
No I agree, it’s a good point away from home, just a shame to drop the other two when we should have scored more ourselves.
That was a good indication of why Fraser doesn't usually feature before the 60 minute mark. Until the last, maybe, 15 mins I thought he was fairly anonymous - and that despite the fact he was up against a defender on a yellow card. We probably should have won, but on paper that was our hardest game for a while (both looking backwards and forwards). My main target was to not lose ground on Ipswich, and we haven't.
Good news is Ipswich play after us in the next round of fixtures so a win v Sheffield Wednesday will move us into 2nd for at least a few hours.
Sounds like the lineup at the start not the most likely to be as successful as in previous games. But once again no defeat and we've kept pace with Ipswich. Personally I can't remember a season when we've had a great run like this, what a change from the last few years!!
Good to have the fa cup up next. A chance for some to have a much needed rest and would really like to see what Dibling, A-A etc can offer.
We really can't moan about a point. That seemed like a ridiculously busy festive period with some absolutely incredible results (especially at home) The lads are ****ing knackered. Rest a fair few for the cup game, regroup and then the assault for second place begins. COYR
There'll be a bit of pressure on us too tbf as assuming we're not turned over by Walsall we'll be playing to beat a 100 year old club record.
Just going by the Solent commentary Norwich have damaged several of our players, did the Referee give them enough protection?
Yep. I would honestly make 10 changes for the cup game. Give Dibling his debut. SAA can play. I would play Stephens to give him needed game time. But this is a good opportunity to give our key players a good rest.
Will Aribo still be here for that one? Dibling would be great, Mara & SAA and then we can still have a relatively experienced team behind them.
