FA Cup Predictions League 2023/24

Here we are again for another edition of one of the oldest cup competitions in the World, which has, unfortunately lost a lot of its importance in the football calender for many clubs. Which teams will cause surprises and which will field reserve teams ? We don't know yet. As always, as far as (and including) the quarter final stage, we are required to just tip winners ie. Arsenal v Liverpool H if you think Arsenal will go through or 'A' if you think Liverpool will go through - any tips you make are also binding for any possible replays (ie you can't change them). This changes from the semi final stage where we move to a scoreline system eg. 2-1 etc. same as for the other predictions league.
The points on offer for each winner increase for each round - 10 points for each winner in the third round, 20 in the 4th, 40 in the fifth and 80 for the quarter finals. thus giving a maximum of 320 points for each round. For the semi finals you are required to tip scorelines - you get 160 points for being spot on eg. you tip 2-1 for the scoreline after normal playing time. If the score is 2-1 and you tip 1-0 then you get 80 points for the right result and right score difference. If the same match turns out to be 2-0 then you just get 40 for the right result. Get the result wrong and it's zero. It's possible to tip draws at this stage because what subsequently happens in extra time is irrelevant as far as we are concerned ie. if you tip 2-1 and this scoreline is only achieved in extra time then it doesn't count - only the scoreline after normal time is relevant. For the final the points on offer are 240 points for a spot on result. 120 points for the right result and score difference, and finally 60 points for the right result wrong score difference.
The fixtures for the third round will appear in the next post.
