If I say we have too many jokers in this thread, I hope no-one will take it badly.

Fair ol' poke for Southampton fans to Norway on New Years Day Plym. I blame Sky Sports.

I have taken the first two jokers for all of the enterprising souls who've gone for three. If that's NOT what you intended, please change your submissions before kick-off.

Well, as you said, living the dream! A blizzard of fixtures, the transfer window and a new manager to find is that dream or nightmare?

I’m sure it’ll turn out right. Things do at Argyle these days. Just the refs that cause the problems!

Nothing from SMH yet as far as I can see, Lyndhurst's jokers confirmed, Joe's still as per my assumption.

A nice mix of views on the Super Match, which could prove vital on top of double points. Sunderland, Leeds and Leicester all get unanimous verdicts in favour of home wins.

Sensible's gone back to a strategy which I think he used before: a joker on the Super Match: the Hail Mary approach if you watch any American gridiron football. That's a potential 24 points.

Good luck to you all in 2024.

I'm delighted to reveal the results for the New Year programme, largely because I get a very rare appearance as joint top scorer with SMH.

    upload_2024-1-2_11-39-20.png

    Don't expect it every week, I know I don't.

It didn't do us much good though as the double points produced decent results for most. Away in BC got the goal time: 10 forecast versus 11 actual

The first game of the next league programme is not for a week and a half but we have the third round of the FA Cup next week end. It's been a busy period so I'll pick perhaps 6 games including Argyle (and Bristol City), if everyone is happy with that. I'll select from Saturday and Sunday only so that we'll have neither an early start nor a shortened gap before the next round.

Ah I didn't know about that connection. Keeps it simple: that's three of them selected!

So having given this literally moments of thought, we will do the following FA Cup Games starting on Saturday at 12:45.

Sunderland v Newcastle (how could you not)
    Newport v Eastleigh
    Plymouth Argyle v Sutton United
    Swansea City V Morcambe
West Ham United v Bristol City
    Arsenal v Liverpool

This gives Musty and SMH the same chance to use the expert knowledge of their respective clubs that I use of mine, week in and week out, to power me all the way up to a flukey 5th in the table.

We won't do goal times but you can deploy one joker. I repeat, one joker.
