Happy New Year to all of you lovely folk from the Robertson house. A chilled one here with the wife and (poorly) dog. Just had a nice chicken balti and then we have a charcuterie board for later. Bed by about 12:30 and trying not to be too boozy as I won’t hear the dog want to be out at 4am!
Me and Mrs going out to eat early then home by 8pm, too many pissed drivers to stay out later. A few good ales then off to bed just after midnight
Home made bites, cheese and wine, watching Dawn of the Nugget (no not Beale ) atm . then some channel hoping till midnight and the usual fireworks, then off to bed. Happy New year to all , and special thanks to Makem Tiz and all who have contributed for this enjoyable thread.
I remember seeing 2003 in trying to send texts and the network crashes. Happy New Year to you all, Love from the Wicks.
I'm a Penshaw lad originally as well. Born in Avondale Avenue, then moved to the bottom end, Teesdale Avenue.....not far from the Bird in the Hand pub/Alpine pop factory.
Whitefield Estate me. First job out of school was at Alpine pop, straight into the bird after work on pay day
Signing off in an hour or so. Was up all last night with a sickness bug. Hope 2024 is a brilliant year for everyone on this board and most of all, our beloved football team. Ha'way the lads
Well it's 15 minutes till the fireworks start, thankfully our dog is flat out and isn't bothered by them. Time to wish all who post on here and your familes a very Happy New Year, may 2024 be everything you wish it to be. To those not here but never forgotten I will raise my glass in your memory
Should auld acquaintance be forgot And never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot And the days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear For auld lang syne We'll drink a cup of kindness yet For the sake of auld lang syne And surely you will buy your cup And surely I'll buy mine! We'll take a cup of kindness yet For the sake of auld lang syne We two have paddled in the stream From morning sun till night The seas between us Lord and swell Since the days of auld lang syne For old acquaintance be forgot And never brought to mind Should old acquaintance be forgot For the sake of auld lang syne? For old acquaintance be forgot And never brought to mind Should old acquaintance be forgot In the days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear For auld lang syne We'll drink a cup of kindness yet For the sake of auld lang syne
