What’s the prize. Is this like one of those fantastic Facebook ads where they’re giving away a bmw because they’re overstocked

So after another away game with virtually zero decent chances to score Farke need to find a solution. However the good news is we're at home on New Years Day and then have 2 weeks until we go to Cardiff with that being our only away league game in January.

Should we try to sign a creative midfielder, or maybe try playing Archie or Gnonto instead of Piroe ? This might work and then Bamford can be sent to the glue factory as we have a top striker to come off the bench.

Ok how many posters predicted we'd finish top 2 this season ?

The Jamster forecasted 3rd so the season is pretty much going as expected.

Farke would only play him in goal

A creative midfeilder would be great but FARKE would have to change formation. Not sure why in away games we don’t play Rutter in that creative role pushing Piroe up front as we need more control in the middle as well as creativity. Rutter is the only real creative talent in the team and also the only one that chases up and down defending, harrying players and turning defence into attack.

For me, it’s been hit and miss since Gray has played RB. I don’t think we need Ampadu and Kamara in the middle, not without a Pablo type player sitting in front of them.

We pass the ball square and backwards far too much, to think a few felt KP did this too much, at least he had a defence testing pass in him.

I also remember an Interview at the start of the season, Ampadu saying he feels his best position is CB and he likes playing there. If we dropped him into the back four, we could have Gray and Kamara in the middle.

Piroe and Rutter being swapped around is so blindingly obvious.

Not sure I agree Doc but we need to find a solution to the away form so worth a try at least.

Personally my preference is to bench Piroe, or maybe play with Ampedu holding and 2 creative and attack minded midfielders in front of him (think Klich & Pablo with Phillips behind).

What we have to keep in mind though is that the home form has been very good.

Piroe reminds me of a poor man's David Platt.

Does fook all each and every game but then comes up with an important goal every now and again.

Ipswich no wins in 4 now, can’t score goals, their fans screaming for two strikers. We all know strikers are like hens teeth in January.

The bonus for us is we have quality, we don’t desperately need to sign players, we just need to get those we have playing more consistently. Ipswich might end up fighting for 6th, it’s Southampton who we need to slip up and they had 4 straight defeats in September including a thrashing 5-0 and 4-1 to Leicester so it can be turned around

We should be top two with the squad we have and we would be without the turmoil at the start of the season, even if by only a point.

I’ve not given up on top two just yet, anything less than 9 points from our January home games and I will do.

If we get past Posh, the Norwich home game will be rearranged.

Posh are 13/2 to beat us with Skybet. A good price. They're in a close race for auto promotion themselves (closer than we currently are) so might be a game neither is too bothered about

The creative midfielder debate shines a light on the big glaring issue which is wingers. Why do we have Summerville, Poveda, James, Gnonto and Anthony as well as Rutter who can play there. By emphasising a midfielder we really need to move out a couple of wingers. Wingers are great when they go past defenders and get crosses in to strikers…… we dont do that though do we we have wingers tippy tallying on the edge of the box and passing backwards and sideways. Farke needs to sort it or go

    It really is simple.

Buy a ****ing left footed ****ing left back and play Spence at RB. That releases Gray to compete with Kamara and Gruev for the spot with Ampadu.

Rutter can play deeper and push Piroe up top.

As for Farke. He really needs to adapt his tactics as the game progresses. He doesn't seem to see the glaringly obvious strengths of the opposition even after they come close to scoring multiple times. He only reacts once we've gone a goal down.

The other thing is that if something isn't working then just go back to basics for 5 minutes. Slow the gamedown and just have an ounce of intelligence about things.

Sell the rat Gnonto for £15-20 million and go for Illias Chair who has fallen out with the coaches at QPR. He's the perfect fit for us at 10.

By the way, Kai Wagner is out of contract on Jan 1st. It's a no brainer at left back.

Why do I feel we're down to 10 men when Piroe plays? He brings nothing to the game in midfield, a total waste of space. He can't tackle, he can't head the ball (it was his shoulder he used against Ipswich) and he never seems to pass the ball forward. How the hell does Farke think he's a No.10?

As for the team itself, it appears we've been found out. Most teams just pack their defence and manage to score a fluke or some such crap. They kick the crap out of our players until they get booked and then someone else does it. Zero protection from the refs, of which the standard is dreadful, how we didn't get a penalty for Gnonto last night is a complete mystery.

We're going through a bad patch, it's up to the manager to sort it out. He needs to come up with a plan to cope with physical and defensive teams. Sort it our Farke!

We've flattered to deceive at home in a good few of the games, the 'Udders game felt like a defeat after the second half performance, if other coaches say we have the best team then the fault lies with farke as we don't play as a team.
