I don't know if he was that bad, he barely got a shot off thanks to our lack of supply and isolation of the CF. I don't think he's got what it takes to make something happen on his own but for me he goes back as an unknown rather than an outright failure.
I watched him against Arsenal U23s last week and he wouldnt have even got a game for them, along with Hemir
I think Hemir is a fair bit better, he looks like someone who can make something happen. I'm not saying I rate Burstow just that I don't think we saw him at his best and he's too young to write off, as is Hemir.

Surely Yann is in better shape than Evans, who is made out of candle floss that’s been dipped in water. He is also a far better player. Evens wouldn’t have got Europa league games last season even if he was in his hour for per season. BRING BACK OUR YANNY!
If Pritchard goes this window after all the rumours in summer that leaves room for wages and an experienced head in a different area of the pitch. I can see it fitting if we think he can cope with the number of games at the intensity of the championship.
Blokes played for Inter, France, in the PL. What he can do off the park with the young lads is massive.
Also played 40+ games last season. I think it would be a good decision all round if wages aren’t a stumbling block as mentioned. Don’t really see what negatives there would be.. if he can’t get up to speed quickly he’s still in and around the squad offering invaluable advice and experience.
