It feels like you've had the metaphorical board rubber thrown at you And your response means he may be heading towards you with the metaphorical ruler
To be clear, none of you are currently working towards Year 3 non-negotiables and all writing will be moderated and pupil conferenced in the spring term. I have to have greater evidence of your knowledge of correctly punctuated fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases. You can also have a reflection sheet for trying to antagonise an older, more easily confused, student.
If he’s fit and not too fatigued then sure start him again. I’d just be surprised given he barely played for the last year and has suddenly been starting game after game during a time with little recovery in between games. Trust in RM to make the right decisions for the team and players though. Not convinced on Stephens at RB personally, think we looked quite unbalanced particularly first half, and then looked so much better when KWP moved back there later in the game. Would rather start Manning and KWP in their normal positions and if Manning is getting torn a new one by Whittaker then we can always change things up with KWP moving there and Stephens coming in at RB. Good thing is Plymouth will be just as tired and have had two away games whilst we’ve had two home games.
I agree that we should be looking to rotate some players for this one, but we have to be careful not to overdo the changes. Having said that, maybe we could stick with the same starting 11 and then rotate through substitutions and see if it has the same impact as Tuesday. Plymouth, like our next opponents Norwich, have only lost one of their last 6 games so we can’t afford to take too many liberties.
I would never join the inquisition. Class teacher for life. (Or at least until I’m no longer dependent upon the salary!)
Certainly at secondary school. At primary? Not really. But occasionally we’ll have kids in all break or lunch because they can’t resist being dickheads on the playground and you know they’ll do something if you don’t sit on them for 45 minutes or so. Obviously if you work in a school where kids climb trees and throw bricks at you then it might be different and you probably have the inclination to lock them in a cupboard. Occasionally I’ll have a kid miss break because they haven’t done their homework in a particularly annoying way. For example, “I was really busy this weekend.” Mate, I’m a single parent of an autistic child and I’m restoring a house and trying to teach you lot about metaphors. You’re eight years old. Don’t talk to me about being ****ing busy.
It never stopped me. I even had a piece of paper authorising me to administer corporal punishment if warrented something I never did do. Now had it said capital punishment I would have found it more useful.
Plymouth isn't famous for, but should be famous for being the birthplace of my father. Not that he ever achieved anything himself but he produced me. He was a child of immigrants, one from South Africa and one from across the border in Kernow and then was brought up doing scones the wrong way so fair play for not being more confused than he is. Anyway, he reckons Plymouth would have done us if Stoke hadn't nicked their manager, and he's expecting a Saints win now. Not because we're playing well, but just because Schumacher has gone. He could be right of course, but I can never prove otherwise now so in his mind, they've won.
That suggests to me that he will be fatigued. It's one thing running around when your energy levels are high, in the moment. But once you're in the recovery period, that exertion usually requires additional time to recover from etc. But who knows, they're all super bloody fit these days.
Anyone who is surprised by Aribo’s performances should go read the Rangers message boards from when he left. They were gutted. Sadly we were too poor a Prem team to slowly bed him in and the change of pace ruined him. He might actually be a player if we go back up.
Yesterday was the first time I’ve had a proper look at Aribo since his recent renaissance began. He’s a completely different creature! He looks like he’s lost a load of weight and at the same time learned how to position himself to protect the ball better. Previously he looked like he could run through brick walls but always seemed to lose the ball in any tackle. This new version can hold on to the ball and that gives those amazingly quick feet (which he’s always had) a chance to weave some magic.
Joseph Oluwaseyi Temitope Ayodele-Aribo looks bigger on the pitch than his 6' 76kg frame and has been an imposing player for us of late. Should be noted that the hyphenated last two names make him a perfect fit for SFC.
