We are 6th, but Coventry in 13th are only 3 points behind us and have a better goal difference. This league is genuinely mental.

Ekwah has some potential if you take away his defensive responsibilities, thought he was class today

Missed the game because we had a house full for Boxing Day.

    Did we deserve the win?

Disagree. There's was no service down the middle what so ever as per usual. There's nothing for a striker to get on to.

Both midfielders looked better today and we didn’t look as vulnerable in that space. Not sure why, maybe the defenders were closer.

Dack was getting pelters but he got little of the ball in the final third.

'Idiots'...meaning people with a different opinion to you?

I wasn't a fan of that chant either, by the way, counter productive, but I did like Tony Mowbray and it doesn't take much to understand the sentiment.

You don't get to pick and choose, mate. We get 40k attendances because we are well supported, everyone is welcome and football means a lot in the area. Some fans will be thick as mince and chant bollocks... but they pay the same as you. They can sing what they want, within reason. Personally, I agree with you, those chanting that will probably be taking water in now...but the whole "I told you so" thing is an equally bad look, in my opinion. That's all.

Thank **** for that. Though the lads at the back were solid today, Seelt looking really tidy, about 3/4 times he was free for the switch with no one marking him.

Same as the rest of the season, if we could sharpen up in front of goal we’ll be away

There wasnt a genuinely quality ball through the middle until Pritch took to the pitch. He's the only player with the skills and balls to create service through the middle.

I don't think having Dack running like a headless chicken closing down defenders is the answer to anything either. Too old and just doesn't have the engine to do that. No wonder he pulled up. He's a sitting player now not a pressing player.

One or two tweaks I thought today. Defensivel had a better look to the distancea between players, and the gap to midfield looked good. We seemed more compact. I thought Ekwah was a bit better, which was a big factor. Lad is a confidence player. Just small things from a coaches perspective, but they make a difference. Also, for me, his subs were good. I know people dont like not having an outlet in the last 6 or 7 minutes, but I think we just banked up and said to them we wont be done for numbers. Old school tactic and if everyone does their job it should work more often than not.

As usual Dan Neil was on his own level today. He is a rolls royce of a footballer and we need to make sure we get someone in during Jan to give him more freedom to play. Could be the difference between play offs or just missing out as I dont think any team in this league can keep him out of a game and his passing and vision and speed of thought are magnificent.
