Careful, you are starting to sound like a religious nut. If it is mentally right for the person then it is mentally right. Who are we to judge what people do to be happy as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others?

i hope to goodness you'll never be my lawyer! What if you got a transsexual for a client? Would you not accept them? You really need to open your mind a bit...being so narrow minded won't help you in life you know. Sorry.

Hell, i don't care about religion, i just think these people are ungrateful freaks, who if they are "unhappy" should just top themselves. Am i the only person on this forum who has any common sense? Whilst i appreciate science hugely, this is a misuse of it.

I'm not narrow minded, i'm a realist, and if i were to get a transsexual client, i would decline to represent them, on moral grounds, or lose the case on purpose.

There is no point in appreciating science if you cannot appreciate humanity and everything that entails.

I appreciate humanity, it's these people who don't. If they did, they wouldn't alter their gender, would they?

Is everyone not entitled to representation? If you answer no, you should not become a lawyer.

good grief. You're talking as if you don't think transsexuals are human, or deserve the same rights as others..and you don't think you're narrow minded?!

If you were a realist you would see that everyone deserves to do what it takes to find their own happiness. The fact that you're not a footballer is down to you. Maybe you weren't good enough, or maybe you didn't try hard enough. Maybe you could have done more to change it but never believed it was possible. Poor you. Thankfully, some people have the chance to change themselves and be happy, lucky them!

WOW <yikes> dont expect to go far. As a lawyer you are expected to not allow moral viewpoints to interfere with your professional performance.

The reason i'm not a footballer is that i buggered my knee playing rugby for my school. Back to the topic, i'm happy with who i am, i just wish these people would feel the same way. Life is one giant compromise, they should compromise their "happiness" for a view of success, and avoiding ridicule.

No one should ever have to compromise their happiness for anything.

Rugby has a lot to answer for! Hate that damn game. So, back to the topic...lucky you for being happy with who you are...not everyone is. And if someone has the chance to change that and make themselves happy, in whatever way that's possible, who are you to judge whether they're right or wrong? These are not just mildly sad people who feel like doing something to see if it helps them be a bit happier. These people are tragically sad, feeling completely wrong in their own skin. They can't compromise with that. To go through a sex change is physically and mentally challenging. It's a huge undertaking, and nobody would do it if they weren't completely sure of who they really were. Maybe you should talk to some people who have been through it...maybe you already have without knowing it!

And on that note, bedtime for me...night all!

Well why don't they try anti depressants first, before swinging the old meat cleaver at their genitalia? Seems like a rash step to me. If i'm unhappy, i do some research for my coursework, acts as a distraction. I don't go and grab a knife from my kitchen, and spend the next 60+ years rueing a rash decision.

Honestly, i've lost my respect for a lot of other posters tonight, because of pathetic views on this subject.

You don't think they haven't tried everything? Of course they have, no one enters into a sex change lightly.

Answering the original question, I don't see why not.
She looks like she should have been born a girl anyway.
If the tackle has been tucked away then I don't see a problem. If you fancy someone then you should go with your instincts.
I reckon there are a few people on here who are a little scared of their inner thoughts and therefore are a bit too macho to be believed.
