Wishing you all a fab Christmas guys, may the spirit of Christmas slide down your throats!! Sending love and best wishes from a cold but sunny Spain!!
And to you Spanish, dull & wet here in old England. ps Santa's New Year's wish list: Promotion & a bright new Govt!
On this Christmas day, I for one feel very proud of what we have achieved. The two recent disappointments last week just show how far this club has come in the space of two years. Half a season played, 52 points on the board, 18 clear of sixth. Lets not forget McKenna's men are the underdogs in this promotion fight. This is a club that's just spent four years in League One up against three teams that have just spent several years in the Premier League. Town have no right, really, to be in this top-four mix. Yet here we are. I am confident that we can bounce back and put on a Boxing day treat. Consistency, same style of play, and staying power and club spirit will see us thru. Leeds pace and strength were what undid us. Their £130m team drawn from the likes of Barcelona were just too good for us. Ipswich will continue to trust their processes. A few tweaks, strengthen in positions we all agree, and on we march. Cant wait for the 2nd half of the season!
It’s been a fantastic year to be an Ipswich fan. Not only the volume of wins but the brand of football is the most attacking since Joe Royle. My nephew got a 1/2 season ticket at this time last year and.a full season this year - have to tell him that being an Ipswich fan is not always like this so enjoy the ride as long as it lasts. Merry Christmas all
And A Happy, Peaceful & Premiership New Year to you SD! We all think of you in remote parts, only been there once and that was in 1968!
