They're in self-inflicted freefall once again.

There's a red and white jugular. Go for it.

After they were hammered at home to Cov today, I'd take a point now...

Ingram in for Allsop given Allsop might be injured and Coyle going right-back, Greaves left-back and McLoughlin at centre-half. We desperately need some quality full-backs either in January or summer. You’d think Vinagre and Christie were our best full-backs but they’re either not fit or not consistent enough.

That what I would go with, Coyle needs to be back at RB and Greaves at the moment looks the best bet for LB.

Sunderland have long been part of the “North East Over-inflated Ego” Mafia syndicate.

Their position will never match their entitlement.

LR will play with two goalies to share the tapping out from the back. It was only recently Sunderland beat Leeds easily so time to stay grounded. 2-1 win.

Was there 1971? What a game, was that the same season as the Sheff Wed 4-4 on boxing day? (We were among 1000's that left with City 1-4 down and nearly drove off the road passing skidby mill when the result came over the radio)

I was at that 4 4 with my dad. Second city match ever. Taught me the value of never leaving early.

Full disclosure I broke that rule for the first time last March at home to Burnley in a night match. I was frozen, wet and miserable and saw zero signs of city turning it around.

I can only imagine. I was 13 and I too was obsessed after that. My dad and I were in the north stand seats and I swear blind he chucked me 10 feet in the air when City’s fourth went in.

Following season I desperately wanted to see them play a friday night game but my dad said he couldn’t make it. So I told him I was off to visit a friend that night and then promptly got Boddys bus to Hull from Brid to watch the game. Can’t remember the score but remember the good hiding I got the next day for lying. Some old gimmer on Boddys bus caught my dad in town and said “I can’t believe you let your daughter travel to city’s game on her own last night”

    How times change?

I was a year older and it wasn’t my first game but was my first season. It was many years before I left early again and could probably count the number of times I have on one hand, despite sitting through some terrible performances over the years!
