Wasn’t expecting Beale to change much but been extremely disappointing that we seem to have regressed. Beale needs to change things up.
but loads of players who’ve worked under him have loved him. Your point is based on your own opinion of him only.
I said at the time Mowbray going was premature. I still think that but I am not looking back and defending him specifically. I do think the reaction to Beale after one game and less than a week in charge is laughable though. Managers are easy to dig out. I look at players like ONien, Ekwah, Roberts, Ba, Patterson and think they are not at the same level as last season. I think Cirkin is a massive miss, and Alese and Evans would be adding something to a side in difficult times. Then I look at the players we have signed and am not seeing many having an impact. Folk will say they arent getting a chance, but to me when Dodds didnt play one I think that is a sign that so far they havent shown enough in training to suggest they can have an impact. I am not as sold on Adil as most but he has something for sure. I just think when we keep adding inexperienced lads to the squad we are going to be inconsistent. Chopping and changes coaches wouldnt be my answer, but we have to give Beale time and not jump on this as evidence he should not have been hired.
Crap result and a flat performance. Beale out campaign firmly established on a horrendous run of 1 poor result. Cant wait to see how this develops - will every negative count double against every positive over the next few months? Will Beale be given more than a week to show what he can do? Will Beale prove his doubters correct and lead us sideways into ignominy this season? Can’t wait for the next episode, and unlike your average soap opera, I’m hoping for a happier storyline.
One thing is absolutely for sure and that it couldn’t have been a worse start for Beale and by extension, Speakman. The noise around them was already louder than it probably should have been, and now this is going to create more, as people that were on the fence (like I was) start to question wtf was the point.
No killer instinct No creativity down the middle No striker No urgency No concentration at the back We can pass it and win on possession. Big whoop. It's like being back on the ****ing Gus Bus ffs.
Would like to see whoever is the manager of our team have the balls to change the way Clarke plays. Our tactic, 90 mins a game, every game, involves Clarke doing the same thing. We have three strikers on the bench and only use one of them because we are so wedded to Clarke and Roberts being as predictable as possible.
In my experience players rarely hate a manager. I dont believe for one minute this lot will hate Beale. Some will leave, some will thrive. As usual the ones who leave might grumble a bit, but to imagine young footballers will hate a coach is barmy in my opinion.
