Christmas time on television is full of repeats.... You get the same old boring rubbish to watch.. I'm fairly sure everyone is sick and tired of the same 'format' - and want something 'different' - which could 'entertainment' - and achieve viewing-figures 'goals' hoped for by the TV bosses (( let alone the fans. )) ......long before now, you already know that I am not talking just about the general rubbish quality of TV programs...... although there was a particularly dreadful ifollow program last night - made worse ((( Yes - actually worse )), by the cameraman - who must have made an early start on the Christmas booze ! This time last year (( if you remember )) - things actually were worse with The Gills ! I believe that - with Scally's total control, Gills were heading - not into the National League - but - out-of-business, and that the Priestfield turf would be replaced with buildings. This time last year, I had become so disillusioned with the quality of performances, that I didn't want to watch anymore... We weren't scoring any goals. We weren't creating any chances.. We were playing ultra-negatively.... Does that sound familiar ?? ........So what's happened since ? Well - I am a year older ( but no wiser .) ..I am still paying for 3 season tickets and still doing my 100 mile commute for Home games - to watch the same old crap - which I have watched over the last 60 Christmases ! I'm not sure how many more Christmases I'll 'have' - but - I'm not sure if I can be bothered to waste any more time watching the likes of the 'cracker ' that I saw last night. The absolutely awful 'entertainment' from The Gills (( and FGR ) ) was an insult....I had more fun in the car-crash of the queue in the supermarket earlier in the morning --- which was chaos beyond description - and yet had 100 times more 'order' about it than the crap that was played by the Gills (( ...and FGR )) The only positives I can take from last night's game...... 1. I didn't waste time and money going to the match (( although I would rather have given Mr. Scally the £10 I wasted on ifollow )) 2. I won't be wasting my time and money going to Colchester in 1st January. (( I forget the last time that happened. ))................ I shall be with loving family instead. I have only ever wanted my Gills to do their best.. I don't expect my Gills to always win. I don't expect my Gills to score in every game.......However, I do hope that my Gills might occasionally provide some entertainment better than I could achieve from a 'spent' Christmas cracker !....... ........ but - it seems that Gills fans have been on Santa's naughty list - because - the only entertainment Gills have provided is not even as good as if I get a hoop and a stick in my Christmas stocking ! I hear that Wham are No.1 in the 'pop' charts - with 'Last Christmas.' This comes 39 years after it was 'released.'.. Well nothing has changed at Gills since last Christmas - or the 60 Christmases since I gave Gills my heart...and The Gills keep throwing it away (( along with 2 or 3 points every game. ))..... I'm seriously thinking that for me (( at Gills )), this might be my last Christmas.
