I presume it was a niggle for Connolly. If not, we should never have taken him off. Should have been Slater for Seri, like for like.
The turning point for me was when Delap and Slater conspired to **** up that hospital pass their keeper gifted to us. We were in decent control really til that point.
Brizzle did an Ipswich on us , let us attack and then broke quick they always seem to ffind fast attackers , not a good venue for us
A draw might have been fair, I don’t think either team can make a case they deserved to win it. We’ll lose games playing better than that and we’ll win games playing worse than that, it’s just how it goes.
Not sure what Bristol’s situation is this season but their players and fans celebrated that like they’d just sealed promotion.
I'd agree it wasn't easy, but as it was close to him and he got a hand to it, I'd say he could have saved it. It wasn't just a penalty, it was a double penalty. I think City thought it was given for the guy who held onto Greaves before they both hit the ground, but I think more likely it was given for the guy who grabbed Alfie Jones' shirt and hauled him back. It was absolutely blatant and very easy for the ref to see.
Hopefully Rosie lofty view from the stands may have given some insight for game management and transfers going forward
Old chocolate wrists allowed that game to be turned on it's head in the first instance, and not for the first time recently. Very poor shot stopping. If there was a deflection for their second it looked minor, it was just a piss poor save frankly. Also, he only seems to catch or hold a shot when it's right at him, always seems to parry it and nearly sent one in off Coyle. Then cue Ingram proving once again why he's not fit to play our system. Can't blame him for the attempted save, but gifting them the ball in that manner is criminal and reeked of the Shota calamities we saw last season. I thought Christie and Coyle were also poor throughout the match. Morton not hitting the levels we've seen from him recently but he never has a particularly bad game. Now for some positives. I thought we played well overall other than some moments of poor quality and stupidity. We're generally coping without Philogene and our forwards tonight looked really threatening. There's also a lot more variety in our play as well which is seeing us score a lot more goals as a result. There's quality in this squad. When you look at the points we've thrown away this season we could easily be higher in the table, despite being in a good position already. It's frustrating but just like most of the other teams in the league, when you can't find consistency you're not going to cement yourself at the top end of the table. We've looked better than the majority of the sides we've played this season and despite a few areas of weakness we're seriously excelling in other areas.
Not read other comments (yet). Back down to earth after such a good performance last Saturday. Tonight we got what we deserved. They were much more positive than us, even when in the lead. We were back to slow and cautious too often. Not the worst of performance (by a distance) but not very good, and very disappointing after Saturday's showing.
I am, I wouldn't blame allsop for that goal either if it took a deflection and he'd just walked on the pitch with no warm up. The same as I wouldn't blame a striker for not burying a chance if they'd just come on with no warm up. If Ingram players against Sunderland and makes a mistake, I'll be calling it was it is

One of their players had their foot in the D when their penalty was taken. ****ing robbed by the officials yet again.
