I quite like it when the pundits are cocky and confident (Norwich last year, Birmingham last year, WBA this season) because we usually win. It's when they are downbeat and negative that we usually lose (Brizzle, Stoke)
The most ‘Sunderland’ results are the ones when we’re underdogs and expected to lose. I think back to being in the prem where we could go to Man City and win 1-0, then next week have Hull at home and get thumped 0-3 etc.
I was going to say you must have a great memory, and then I thought, not really that was probably our only win of the season
I just remember us being city’s bogey team for a while, had a boss who was a city fan, loved to wind him up!
Just listened to it. Hes an arrogant ****er. Talking about Coventry like they’re a European Super Club
City I remember, but I swear Liverpool always spanked us? Never had any luck against Everton or Liverpool
I had £5 on us to win that day, was in Walkabout in Exeter, had no idea about that wonderful goal until the Sunday
Thought we drew and beat them a few times but looking back you are right, they beat us most times and we only won twice since 2009.
remember a cracking goal from fernando Torres at the SOL, opening game of the season, one touch, bang. edit - Maybe a couple of touches but still a rocket. Lucky enough to do the 8hr round trip to see that one
That Coventry accent is atrocious like, it seems to be an amalgamation of the worst aspects of Brummy and Leicester.
