320 Lowrys bar has been in fine form and i am suprised 365 are opening at 11/8 , the other stand out is javert allen in a 5 horse affair the straight forecast may be the best bet if there are non withdrawn.
250 pisdon pen has moved out to 5/2 in places which looks a fair bet
350 miss fedora has moved out to 6s with 365 another that looks fair now
    Catterick
230 line in the sand had a good run lto and the drop in trip looks a wise move . 10s and 4 places looks on the big side

The above selection in France will have to do for me today. Have been useless with choices in UK races of late, so will leave it to the more 'informed' in this respect. Good luck with your bets in the UK and Ireland if you have a go! <ok>

Well done again Swanny. No problem winning that. 4/1 a nice prise. How are you picking out these French winners?

Well, Ron, as I usually have time on my hands, I guess I do what we all do, i.e. basic recent form, distance and ground suitability, etc., etc., blah-blah-blah. Have got it right lately, but quite frequently quite wrong. On Dar Toungi today, the main reason I thought and hoped he would run well was the **Fibresand surface, which I believe is basically similar to soft going on the Turf. On breeding, the sire wasn't much at all, but the damsire was none other than Rock Of Gibraltar, a smashing racehorse if ever there was one. I was not at all sure about the step-up in distance from previous runs which were in the region of 7f, but the extra furlong or two was what the gelding needed. Piccone, the jockey, is experienced enough to give his mount a sensible ride and avoid the kick-back on this surface. This time it all panned-out, luckily, but more often than not, as I have already mentioned, it certainly doesn't.

Have been as honest as I could to answer your question, Ron, but lord, hope it does not sound like bragging. Certainly hope it doesn't!.

**Fibresand surface was chucked-out in the UK, remember Nassau used to love 'sunny' Southwell in the old days. This was replaced in many cases by the Tapeta surface (e.g. Newcastle, Wolverhampton).
