Some interesting names touted if Holgate goes... https://the72.co.uk/2023/12/11/3-ma...-should-consider-amid-everton-recall-rumours/
Burnley are lining up a January move for #SaintsFC forward Che Adams. Southampton are reluctant to lose Adams, but understand this could be the last chance to cash-in. Burnley appear set to launch a concrete offer for Adams in the coming weeks. [@TEAMtalk]
They are welcome to him. Hopefully that opens a proper space for SAA on the bench and we can spend the money on a left back.
This was always going to happen. Despite his contract situation, I can see us getting a decent fee for him due to the desperation of struggling prem clubs (we've been there!).
honestly would have been very disappointed about this up until recently. But he’s been really poor this season and it feels like it’s time to move on. I thought he would bang in goals at this level but I don’t think this system suits him.
Are they linked to any of our players? Is the suggestion perhaps there could be another club in for Che?
Yep, this, was pleased when he stayed as thought he could tear apart championship defences. As it happens he doesn't look like he could be bothered to tear apart a packet of wotsits. Time to move on
Despite being poor, his stats aren't all that bad. Mins per goal involvement: A Armstrong 103 mins (12 goals 6 assists) Vardy 127 mins (6 goals 1 assist) Rutter 133 mins (4 goal 9 assists) Ihaenacho 139 mins (5 goals 1 assist) Adams 151 mins (4 goal 2 assists) Piroe 179 mins (8 goals 1 assist)
Just not happening. I'd be surprised if we spend €30m in total in January let alone on a single player.
