The start of the 23/24 season for Swansea City to put it simply has been a shambles. With so much change behind the scenes at the club in the summer, perhaps it's no surprise. The appointment of Andy Coleman as Chairman, Paul Watson as sporting director, and Michael Duff as head coach, three new faces who since have undoubtedly had a massive impact on the club. And although these changes were intended to improve the club and streamline decision-making. In reality, both on and off the pitch they have resulted in a football club that has completely lost its identity. A club that is becoming totally unrecognisable in comparison to the Swansea City we know and love.

Now if we judge Levien’s actions not his words, the scale of deception as well as the lack of interest, ambition and competence is blatantly obvious.

There is no "Swansea Way" and hasn't been for many years. The owners may or may not be financially competent but it's very clear there is absolutely zero empathy with the club and the fans and especially not it's history. There is no footballing ambition as they are completely disconnected from any actual interest in that. They themselves could not be further from being "fans" of our beloved club.

Our only hope is them being bought out (and by somebody decent) but that's a very long shot right now. I think hope we'll escape relegation but you can only dodge a bullet so many times. Worrying indeed.

The Swansea Way of playing football started to be eroded by Monk and has never recovered. Indeed, Duff’s appointment signalled that the Owners/Decision Makers didn’t understand - nor buy into it.

The Swansea Way of ‘doing business’ is long gone as well - that ‘disappearance’ coincided with the Yanks buying the Club.

In my view, some of the actions and decisions made thereafter wouldn’t have happened if the Club was in ‘local’ hands spending ‘local’ money.

Definitely. Monk moved us away from free flowing football which could get us a win against any team in the PL - especially at home, into one of those teams that just tried to avoid relegation each season and hope for 0-0 in every away match. He sucked.
