I'm of the same opinion. If they've decided upon him and everything's agreed, just announce it FFS and just get on with it. He's going to be under enough pressure as it is

Not posted much the last few days as I did not want to say something without looking at the facts. Did/do not know a lot about Beale and if he is to be our new head coach then I am prepared to see how that develops.
I think that our fanbase were a little shocked at TM departure but reading between the lines it looked to be more mutual than most believed, and when he was gone I think again our fans seen an opportunity to bring in an exciting coach and add a bit of spice to the set up and I don't think Michael Beale has ticked that box for them.
However that is not to say he is not the man for the job if/when his appointment is confirmed and only time and a bit of patience will tell us this.
My personal opinion is that I really wanted Will Still so was not overly pleased when Beale was added into the frame (in truth I did not know much about him) and my disappointment was not who we got but more who we didn't get. So if it is to be Beale then I will give him and the club my full support as over the last 2 years I think they have earned a bit of trust from us as fans and would hope that we can save the vitriol for if/when the wheels come of the bus, because at the minute he has not even took charge of a game or been confirmed by the club and a lot of our fans have the socket set out and are loosening the wheels as we speak.

    Rant Owa for today <cheers>

The way some are going on it’ll be a toy socket set launched out of their prams.

Good, it will incur a second wave of indignation but at least it’s out the way then and he can get on with being class for us. ;)

Glad its getting sorted today. Can all get on with it now. He's a top, top coach. Lets look at the positives. Looking forward to seeing how somebody with his experience can help bring the best out of our young players alongside another top youth coach in Doddsy.

    Our future is exciting

In all my years supporting Sunderland only one manager I didn't give a chance to...that was Howard Wilkinson...never understand that appointment. Was a bit close with Parkinson mind

Can't remember a manager being under more immediate pressure than Beale here.

Coventry under good form at the moment. Imagine the atmosphere if they beat us with a Simms goal. Sheesh :emoticon-0127-lipss

    Last 10 games:
    W-3
    D-4
    L-3

Albeit they have won 3 of the last 6 with 1 defeat

I think we will beat them

Only lost to runaway Ipswich in their last seven. Includes draws against a form side in Southampton and away at Leeds.

    It’s a very tough game.
