We also need experience to match potential if we are ever going to succeed as a club. Look at our 4 strikers and the 2 men in our engine room playing CM. All kids.
If Still and Hellberg were never linked, I wonder if everyone would still be as negative about Beale? If it was the same old names and Beale in there as an option. Must admit I was very underwhelmed till today, but I'm trying to see it more pragmaticly today. He's a young coach who's got tonnes of experience coaching young players. Just because we've heard of this guy, and he's been at a club (bit of a basket case) in our league, and Rangers who are playing second fiddle to Celtic (who were under Postecoglou) then we have decided already he's going to be gash. I'm going to try and be positive, clean slate and see how he does with what's at his disposal at our club.
He’d completely run out of ideas and criticised his boss and the owner. They did the right thing getting rid of him. His course had been run
Giving someone 5 minutes to waste time at the end of the game is hardly valuable game time mate. Rusyn has 250 minutes of football with us. I’ve mentioned it before numerous times go and have a look on FotMob at every championship clubs most played striker this season. Most of them cost less than Rusyn and are less experienced. It’s a piss poor excuse because he couldn’t get the team to play around a striker. Jack Clarke was piss poor everywhere he’s been before Sunderland because he was sat on a bench playing 20 minutes here or there. Give him game-time and he’s thriving. You can’t expect young lads to just come on as a sub and score the one chance they get, if any at all, every game.
Back in the Prem where we belong in place of lesser teams like Burnley and Luton. Our fans show the ambition by turning up so its about time the owners did
Could well be the case, I've no idea. I know Dodds mentioned he did a lot of the game planning for upcoming runs of games. I took that as Dodds having a big overview of the stats/performance of the squad on the training pitch and in games so he knew who was peaking or dripping off in terms of their stats etc and he fed that to Tone and Venus for them to make the call on who played.
And that's it, just another Luton or Bournemouth waiting for their turn to drop? Would keeping Mowbray on, who was clearly struggling, be showing ambition?
He criticised his employer, despite accepting the position and the recruitment strategy at the time he was appointed. There's only one way that was going to play out. Mogga knew what he was doing
And when we do well have gained 100m in being promoted and have parachute payments to make us a huge force instead of a team that wants to get promoted on a budget.
I do get your frustrations mate I agree we need a CDM desperately to replace what Evans gave us and I’d have Seelt at CB instead of O’nien. But Rusyn is more than good enough to lead the line. TM had more than the tools required to do a job at this level and his stubbornness eventually cost him. If we were to sign the CDM and play Rusyn then realistically 2 of Neil, Ekwah and Bellingham miss out. So there’s another tough decision to be made.
Not being funny but give enough time and you will always be proved right. For me you were proved wrong when we got to the playoffs.
Yeah but they are millions of pound better off, learnt from an experience and be about 4 steps ahead of us next season the same way Leicester, Southampton and Leeds have been in current league positions and Sheff Utd and Burnley tearing the league apart and going straight back up last season with another huge pay day
I’ll agree that achievement certainly exceeded my expectations of him. Just a shame he went on the bottle it at the playoffs. Bart
This is the problem. EVERYTHING reported so far is just online rumour, gossip and conjecture. People lap it up and take it as Gospel, then criticise the club when it doesn't come off
