That won't go down well in India, expected to win it on home soil, and fell at the last hurdle.

england played their first odi in the west indies today and managed to pluck defeat from the jaws of victory thanks to 109no off 83 by windian shia hope and sam curran's new holder of the most runs conceded in an odi, his 9.5 overs going for 98 with 19 coming off his last five-sixths of an over. harry brook top scored for england with 71. curran had contributed 38 off 26 and was england's 4th highest scorer. the windies took 120 off their last ten overs.

Not quite the right thread but Harry Brooke has just hit 31 off 7 balls to keep the T20 series vs WI alive. Astonishing hitting.
