Pretty fortunate win overall. Forest had some proper chances, some they squandered and some Vicario saved superbly - he really has been a ****ing superb signing, in the convo for best performing keeper in the league. Bissouma, just like Romero, is becoming a ****ing liability with these cheap cards he keeps picking up. If he’s doesn’t buck his ideas up it'll be him and not young Sarr that drops out once Bentancur’s back fit. Whilst I think Vicario prevented us from drawing or losing, Kulu has to take my MOTM though. He put in a Harry Kane performance today. Carried the ball well, excellent cross for Richarlison’s header and then capitalised on their mistake to score himself. He’s been back to his best this season and when he’s on it he’s an absolute joy to watch.
Great result, not our best performance. Davies, Porro and Kulu the stand outs. More suspensions to add to the injury list. The next few weeks are gonna be fun! If there was ever a time where levy needs to sign players early, it’s this up and coming transfer window.
He works harder than any other player in the league as well, to go along with the fact he is an incredible player. I’m so glad we ended up signing him properly as it seemed at one point we weren’t going to, which would have been ridiculous
Think we were always gonna sign him. Could tell that just like most players he was being stifled by Conte’s tactics and style. Now he’s got a manager who he probably loves playing for and a manager who probably ****ing loves him.
Fantastic win, didn’t play that great but two moments of quality from Kulu. Totally agree DH , Bissouma, Romero and Udogie need to sort out these discipline issues. We won’t see Bissouma now until the African cup. Thought Davies was excellent at the back again and Vicario is just fantastic , love him.
We rode our luck (and against city) but tbh got bugger all luck v West ham or Villa so tbh I'm OK with that. There is definitely something different about us compared to the past 4 hrs (5 if you include all of 2019). That fragility doesn't exist like previously . We've won 2 games with 10 men (once for a whole half and today for 29 minutes) not conceding a goal. We came from behind to get draws away to Brentford, Arsenal and City. We've only lost 1 away game...compare that to last season! All in all I am very happy with where we are
Didn’t see the second half but sounds like Bissouma tried his best to cost the team (again) I just seen that Veliz came on in the 97th minute? What is the point of that?
2 Nil, not our finest game... on another day that game ends in a score draw. I have to say, I did not see Bissouma play a single forward pass all night. The only thing he did of any note, in this game, was to get himself sent off, like a big ugly fool again. This guy has the telent but only apparently wants to play football when the weather in good, warm and sunny. All he is doing lately, is letting a lot of admirers down, which sadly includes me. Pull your socks up mate - stop acting like the ass of the group.
Ange's interviews are so good. Never whines, doesn't give players anywhere to hide but never throws them under the bus. Never too upbeat, never too down and not boring to listen to. You can see and hear his influence when the players are interviewed
Skipp was completely anonymous until we went down to 10 when he really came to the party, thought that in that last 30 mins Skipp did more than he has all season and maybe pushed himself into starting v Everton (for Bissouma).
His passing accuracy is sublime. Always crisp, direct and when possible almost inevitably a yard Infront of the player to enable them to run on to it.
What's ridiculous about these straight reds we keep getting is that as far as I can recall, they have all been when we have been ahead. Not in games where we have had to be in a battle.. That's inexcusable and unprofessional. Romero needs to sort himself out for sure, but at least he brings defensive quality when he's playing. Bissouma on the other hand has really not been at the races since the first game or two - and I'm not sure he's worth the effort tbh
I wonder if the kid has appearance bonus, if so then I bet he was happy to come on even for one minute
First month or so thought he was excellent, since then, below par and liability. Don't know what’s happened to him. Bentancur walks back into the team when he’s fit as it is as he’s comfortably our best midfielder (and I include Maddison in that too), he does so blindfolded now after Bissouma’s form. Sarr probably loving it though because it was Sarr who I initially said would drop out for Bentancur but he’s been far better than Bissouma this season overall.
Thankfully (well, you know what I mean) Ange has confirmed Johnson was taken off because of a bad cut, not concussion. If it were the latter it’s highly likely he would’ve had to miss the Everton game due to the protocols surrounding concussion.
That’s great news. As basically it should be hojbjerg or Skipp for bissouma, and given his current form that doesn’t really weaken us at all
