Ange hasn’t helped us with the Skipp sub though. Sort of goes against his own principles having him on for an attacker. Should’ve been Gil or Donley.
It was such a strange sub from Ange but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt that he knows better than us what is better for the team.
Need to get a grip on this game second half. With this crowd if we let it go passive for a bit we could get in trouble.
I would sub Bissouma. He's more a liability at the moment. Hate to say it but we'd be better off with Hojbjerg on.
This is the thing about Skipp in general: in our youth teams he played like a Scott Parker regen and playing like that would absolutely have a place in Ange's setup, even if that place is coming on to sit on a lead for the last 5-10 minutes He's never really been used like that in our first team, though, as he's either the sitting DM next to the more mobile CM be it Hojbjerg or Bissouma in more of a low block - or occasionally as an ersatz box-to-box midfielder which moves him away from his mid blocking skillset
