A lot of people, on here, slated him and didn't want him at the club ... ... you can't please all of the people all of the time.
I think that too but genuinely never wanted to be more wrong in my life, don’t get this appointment at all
A typical cowardly action announcing two incitefull actions at once to minimise critical reaction by the supporters against the heirachy.
Which two announcements have the club made, I'm only aware of the ticketing for the Mags game, and that was decided after a joint meeting with all concerned which took place today.
Well it's hoary old ground, but every news outlet interested had him in the frame. If he hadn't been, it makes you wonder how it could have taken weeks to employ an unemployed man.
It's been 11 days since we sacked Mowbray. The club have spoken to a few candidates. All recruitment takes a bit of time as you have to line people up, conduct interviews, reflect on the interviews etc Just because a couple of Internet outlets went with the Still story (or indeed he leaked it to the press to further his own position at Reims) doesn't mean we had any interest in him.
Before he's even managed one game? There is a consistent pattern here with certain fans so quick to judge and fume at the owners. Its actually embarrassing. He did poorly at rangers but pretty much every manager has failed up there in last 20 years. Do we just write him off as ****e because of that? Why did rangers try so hard to get him back? He must have had something? . Beale wasn't my pick but I think the negativity to him is a massive overreaction as per usual. Everyone was creaming themselves over a few European coaches we'd never heard of a week ago and who've never managed in England. What makes them better or more capable of managing Sunderland?.genuine question
try convincing people that a 71% win rate in a two horse league warrants him being given the job. Failure at both QPR and Rangers not much better with Gerrard. Never even looked like winning an old firm game.
He gets a clean slate, its results that matter and best of luck to him, however, this doesn't sit well with me. We all make mistakes...I guess. https://youtube.com/shorts/R3riDbIcClE?si=OYCn9bfNvW14xfBb
Beale's career stats are far better than any of our recent managers / head coaches his win % in the Championship is better than Tony Mowbray (40%) but worse than Alex Neil (50%)
The only thing the 71% win rate suggests is that he's better at this 2 horse race than any of the previous incumbents of the position, as has been stated on here earlier.
