Underwhelming on the face of it...very interested to see the length of contract though. Until the end of the season changes my opinion a lot.

I didn't particularly want Dodds as HC but until the end of the season, pending performance I could have lived with. Same with Beale, for me.

If he wins 2 or 3 of the next few games and follows it up with a battering of the skunks we'll probably be ready to give him the key to the city. If the reverse happens...

    Football eh!

Ah yes “Vitriol rained down on him from the stands on a regular basis” <laugh>

He might have someone feeding him stuff but he’s still Fishpaste

The best thing about him is he has a unique ability to read a lot of material quickly then regurgitate it into an article… not necessarily in the right order

With all of his recent scoops the information was already out there. Usually on here, on Twitter or OTR

Ridiculous call by speakman this. I know he loves like minded corporate football speak but Beale is Lee Johnson x 100.

My only other crumb of comfort is rangers employed him twice. He must have impressed significantly the first time round. You don’t hire somebody twice if they’re just good at interviews

Not surprised. Pure blagged his way into our great club by swooning Speakman with all the popular buzz words. Absolute joke.

Even though id still be disappointed and deflated if it was Beale i thought id take a step back and think about the decision

Beale is known as one of the best coaches in Britain, Wolves fans were keen on him after his start with QPR. He had a reputation at Chelsea n liverpool at being great with the young players - exactly the type he will be working with, with us. Qpr played some good stuff under him tbf, just a small sample size.

My view on him is def led by what i heard n saw from his time at rangers. Being based in Scotland i have loads of rangers supoorting mates and they hated him as manager. On the flip a lot of them said he was the main reason Gerrard did well there, as it was Beale that did all the tactics and training.

I heard from a reliable source that his man management was poor at Rangers however, when thinking about the source it was slightly tinted. The source is best mates with a player that Beale wanted to sell (and did sell this year) so i have to take it with a pinch of salt as the player didnt want to leave Rangers (he was an older player on big wages and thats why Beale wanted rid). So it might jsut be that he didn't like Beale as felt he was being forced out the club.

Rangers also had a lot of players either best their best or who wanted to leave the club. Their 2 best attacking players, Kent and Morelos, had pretty much downed tools and the other striker, Roofe, was always imjured. Rangers have quite a few players with shocking attitudes so its not an easy dressing room to manage, we know our dressing room is really good so this shouldnt be an issue.

I do worry about his lack of plan B and his football was awful at Rangers. His press conferences werent great but going from QPR to Rangers is a massive jump so possibly tried to be too smart in the press to show he deserved the job

Its never easy going back to a club where you had success as an assistant to then be the manager so again he might have been trying too hard to show he deserved the main job, he was also up against Ange who had Celtic playing some unreal stuff

While i would still be a bit deflated i will 100% be behind him and the clubs decision.

I get that folk think its thw cheap easy option, i said the exact same earlier today however, it could also be that he was the one that impressed the most in interviews

The club nailed the last 2 appointments and hopefully theyve nailed this one

I have heard folk saying on social media that we should boycot games to show we unhappy but thats ridiculous. Most didnt want TM but most loved him as Manager, if it is Beale then lets get behind him and hope he kicks us on

Also - hope if it is him, he brings in a quality no2 to work with him proctor n dodds

I think we need to give the guy a chance, not many people were bowled over by either of our last 2 appointments but both improved us and KLD has shown he is not afraid to make a change if he's not happy with the way things are going.
For my part our owners have a lot of credit in their account, this club is the best it's been for many a year and I'm sure they wont tolerate going backwards.
It may well be that our set up, coaching team, management structure will allow Beale to play to his coaching strengths, and after the last two games I am happy that Dodds is still in position and feel sure he will have significant input. KTF

Did any of us want or know who Alex Neil was? Took us up.
We were all underwhelmed by TM's appointment. Was superb in my opinion.

Lets just shut the fk up and give him a chance shall we.

TBH, some of his results at Rangers were laughable in the extreme...

... I certainly wouldn't want him managing Sunderland.

Aye. That was always the intention mate. Seriously, can only think the blag has turned speakmans head. Seems a strange call as if it goes south, a lot of good will for him will go with it.
