Norwich v West Brom 22/3/1980. I was 10 years old. We went as a school football team with our dads. We drew 1-1. The 3 degrees as they were known (Regis, Cunningham and Batson) played for West Brom.
I have a friend out here who is a massive Rangers fan so I look for their results. In their last two matches Cantwell and Dowell have both been absent from the complete squad. If this is not an injury issue, how's it going up there boys?
Re. Rangers, here is a quote from the BBC's Scottish football correspondent following the sacking of Michael Beale: "Rangers have made many mis-steps since the heady days of their European run and their Scottish Cup win. They dynamited their own progress. Beale made no sense - not his appointment on a paper-thin track record as a manager, not his incredible self-confidence, not his formations, not his signings. It has been a weird time. In the footballing no man's land they find themselves in, confusion reigns and nobody rules." I wonder what Cantwell and Dowell are thinking now.
Birmingham have sacked John Eustace. The rumour is that they intend to appoint Wayne Rooney, who left his MLS club yesterday "by mutual arrangement".
My teenage daughter saw the Norwich City video for Mental Health Day a couple of days ago and simply said this 'I love Norwich even more now' It's good to be reminded that even though we all want success for our club, there is more to life than football. (Apologies if the link below doesn't work - I'm not the most technically gifted!!) The video is on the NCFC Official website if you haven't seen it)
Interesting video interview with Todd Cantwell where he explains some of the things that went on toward the end of his time at the club. Including: Offers from Bayern Munich and Leeds Senior players heads dropped in the premier league creating a bit of a rift with the young hungry guys No relationship with Stuart Webber Family matter that took him out of the team for a couple of weeks Felt badly mistreated by people at the club after that Thought about quitting football
How good is Jude Bellingham. Have only seen clips of him lately, but the press are creaming themselves about him. And I saw a report that he has already scored ten goals for Real in just ten matches. And he is still only 20.
Everton have been deducted 10 points immediately for breach of Premier League profit and sustainability rules:- https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/fo...575afb25a3f537282861fc&pinned_post_type=share
Yes, they're now second bottom on goal difference. Fortunately for them the 3 promoted teams are all down there with them.
Day of judgement has arrived: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...r-league-verdict-live-news-uefa-b2467289.html UPDATE (courtesy of the BBC) "Revamped plans for a controversial European Super League have been announced after a top court ruled that banning clubs from joining a breakaway league was unlawful. The proposal is for a league system which would include 64 men's clubs and 32 women's clubs. The plans for a new ESL format would rival current Uefa tournaments."
Great idea to form a European Super League. Get rid of the big teams, with all their foreign investors, and we can get back to pre Sky style English leagues, when their was an even playing field for all teams.
