Nope. Amad was there a good few months before Beale.

I completely ignore the bookies. They don’t know anything. They just change their prices based on bets going on.

No. He was there last season (briefly). Was van Bronckhorst who managed Rangers when Amad was there on loan

    Thanks.

I'm really sorry as it annoys me when people pester for information and I know I'm on the verge of doing that myself here but it's more asking for a bit of further clarification - are you only mentioning Beale because he's the new name in the frame with bookies and media outlets or have you had his name mentioned to you as being in the frame by someone reliable?

Hi pal, the Beale name wasnt mentioned from the lad I know at the club. He said the Still deal woundnt happen and he reckoned Dodds was in a great position to take it forward (players respected him, fits the model, great coach and got on with the senior people). The Beale name has appeared recently a lot in media outlets and has jumped to favourites. I will speak to the las tonight to see what he things. The situation is fluid will change day to day. All things are kepts tightly under wraps.

I've spent a lot of time working in Bochum and was lucky enough to be taken to a Schalke match (atmosphere is unbelievable and pisses all over the SoL). All of their fans I met were raving about how their coach had turned them around and if only they'd got him earlier in the season.

Thanks very much mate, that's reassuring.

I'll give whoever it is the benefit of the doubt and my full support but Beale definitely doesn't get my juices flowing.

Not much to tell, he just randomly bumped the Knutsen thread on RTG and said ‘Anyone heard owt more about this fella?’

He then said he’s heard we’ve interviewed a Norwegian - doesn’t mean it was specifically Knutsen but I can’t think of anyone else who’s a step up on Mowbray.

Ole Gunnar not guna bother trying to spell the rest could be a shout, did well with a relatively young side at a basket case man United, worked with Amad….

Not overly keen but could certainly see us giving him at least an interview.

shame that, i went back to page 90 to search if wheatsheaf was the first to mention beale and that he might be in the frame, first post i found was from 'fly me to
the moon' saying beales odds were now down to 6/1...this was further on from when he mentioned 'didier drogba?' with no context at all.

never checked further back so unless wheatsheaf mentioned beale sooner it seems 'fly' was throwing random names around to get a bite/rumour/claim ITK if any came good or so he could refer back to his post to say 'wheatsheaf was the first' so he could call him names, as we see so many do.

A bit of a different view from me. I dont watch much Scottish footy so cant comment on his performance there.

As a coach he is, by most accounts, outstanding. Really really good. His reputation in the Liverpool setup was brilliant and Gerrard getting him was a coup. Some say Beale was the coaching brains behind Gerrard at Rangers and Villa, and that will be why Rangers took him back. They knew what he had done up there previously. I didnt think QPR would be right for him when he went there but he seemed to do ok.

Scout points out the failings at Rangers and that is to be taken into account. I would not be surprised to see him do a really good job somewhere, and for me it would need to be at a club with a younger squad hungry to learn. Perhaps that is us, but I cant see it personally. My guess is this second name is an attempt to get Reims / Still to think again. I would be surprised, like everyone has said, if the new fella isnt from europe.
