I think the Belgian journo may be referring to the claims that Still "initiated contact" which could be construed as going behind Reims' back which obviously wouldn't look good, FWIW I think we probably approached Reims to speak to him, they knocked us back but then he has pushed to speak to us and it's been a bit lost in translation.

Don't see how that can be construed as arrogant in any way. Quite the opposite in fact. He's expressing disbelief at the position he's found himself in. It's not like he said "I was always destined to be manager of one of the most famous clubs in Ligue 1 by the time I was 30".
Not if there's a pre-agreement that is legally binding. My concern is that if Doddsy gets us up and then has to step back for Still, it puts us in an odd position, especially if Still doesn't hit the ground running.
