1 game at a time but what a season so far. There was a stat announced after the game that we have 100 points in this calendar year which is ridiculous. What a lot of people outside the club might not know is that this is basically the same team that got promoted. My only worry is that with Man Utd getting knocked out of Europe, could they come calling for KMC. Don’t think they will as too early and also he has a group of players and fans at the moment who all seem to adore him. Bring on Norwich
Royston, honestly think km would turn it down anyway. He is sooooo happy here, you can see it in his face!! Man Ure job is not a very tempting job at the moment, too much **** going on and that club needs a massive shakeup!! KM knows he has plenty of time and will deffo want to take us up and give at least a season in the premier
What a result, Leeds fans are not happy. A good result against the budgies and we can go to Elland Rd without to much pressure, they will have to come after us.
Statement moment in our season. Crossing 50 points before the half way game. On course for a better points haul than last year... Convinced I'll wake up soon. Might have to start believing.
What an entertaining game that was! Superb result, BigAl only one who got it right! Hladky bound to make a mistake with our passing game from defense, but how calm he was after. He has made goals with his playing out from the back and he will cost us the odd goal. And we just keep scoring more than the oppo! And his saves have brought us many points. A real sign of how strong we are is how often we come from behind to win matches. Apart from Ladapo, his days must be numbered, another great player selection & subs by KM. Williams was poor and has faded, but boy, how much has Omari come on. As some have commented, their left winger, Kemi Mate (?) was awesome. We all believe now, and what a rapturous reception from the away fans. No way will KM leave Ipswich, not even for Man U. He is enjoying his time here far too much and everyone loves him. Imagine how his kids at school are feeling! Bring on the Canaries. We are in wonderland and top of the league!
Watching the highlights today (in a calmer way than during the live game) 1 thing seemed really odd. Why was the Watford player not sent off for almost decapitating Harry Clarke? He can claim he went for the ball all he wants but Clarke did not stoop to head the ball and the player still caught him in the head which for me is dangerous play
I don't think it should be a red card. The player was only looking at the ball and there was no intention to catch Clarke in the head, unfortunate, yes, but not intentional. If we start punishing overhead attempts then we are just taking away the chance to see fantastic goals.
Watched the replay last night with a few beers, what a game! Morsy MOTM easily, was continually taking the ball from defence and protecting it well. What McKenna has done with this team is simply amazing. He has got them believing in the system and taught them how to control their emotions. Even after a setback, like an early goal or something, the players just reset and get back to the game plan knowing that we will create chances and are capable of winning the match. What is happening at Ipswich is just not normal, we shouldn't be doing what we are doing. All other fans keep expecting us to slip up or drift away but the lads keep ticking the matches off and putting the points on the board. We're breaking club or league records nearly every week. Normally you'd be a little worried about getting promoted to the Premier League and getting thrashed every game but with McK at the helm, I can see us adapting well and being competitive up there too. People are starting to take notice though, we're being selected for so many Sky games that my Town TV subscription is almost worthless to see games live but I don't care. The replay is posted a few hours after the match ends, unlike iFollow where you would only get highlights from televised games. The away end at Vicarage Road was packed, compared to the sparsely populated home sections. We've got Ed Sheeran gatecrashing the dressing room and post match interviews, it's just a wonderful dream that we are all involved in!
