at this time of year the PL is just a case of grinding out results nothing else as the schedule is lunacy with the intensity of todays football plus the rock hard pitches .
Worth mentioning stats can mask performances. Ask man u fans especially after their manager, player and goal awards just last week
and second bestest keeper in the league. bestest manager bestest English cb bestest form. if you get a good run of games even Everton can win 3 in a row
in fairness to them they kept supporting throughout and outsung a very good home crowd that were flat as a pancake. You could hear the palace bench screaming on TV which just goes to who how poor a home atmosphere it was until the ref decided to award phantom pens and red cards

Liverpool have always been partial to a late winner too. The biggest difference this season is that the extra time is like no other season. We recently played a game with 20 added minutes (first and second half added together).
but it's not 20mins playing time. we are stood about taking breaks and rewarming up at times. that game I think footballs were put on the park at anfield to warm up again. it's fine to call it 100mins of football but in reality it's not. they players are not running much more.
Doesn't matter whether it's playing time or not. 7 minutes at the end of the game gives more time to score a late winner than 3 added minutes. With reference to the link Dribs posted, games would just go on until utd scored hence 'fergie time'. It wasn't officially added time, it was discretionary time.
Indeed, it's not like we're the only teams getting the extra time, nor is it always the case when we have 7 minutes of extra time that we're tied or losing. There have been games when we've been holding on to a lead and really would have preferred less extra time. Fergie time was only when they needed a goal, never official, and wasn't given to other teams. The difference between us and other teams is that, for some reason, we're taking better advantage of the extra time.
Its all about context Palace: bottom half side, down to ten men: Elliott scores in 91st minute. is the winner Sheff Utd: Bottom half side, we were 1-0 up anyway. Szobo slots for 2-0. Fulham: bottom half side: leading 2-3 Endo scored on 87, Trent scores on 88. win 4-3. turns 0 into 3 points. LASK: Crap Europa opponents Gakpo scored on 91st min City: top half side: trent scores on 80mins to level. Toulouse: Crap Europa opponent 1-3 down jota scores late Luton Bottom half side 0-1 down. daiz scores in 94th minute to salvage a draw Toulouse: more crap. salah tap in for 92nd minute goal for no real reason Union: even more ****. jota again socres i ninjury time to make it 2-0. Leicester: Jota scored in 89th min to make sure of the win. 3-1 league cup. West ham more bottom half: Jota socres lat off vvd assist for 3-1 LASK gain, salah scores in 88th min to make it 3-1 wolves- more bttom half robbo scores to make is 2-1 in 88th min, then we score again to make is 3-1 I see a pretty clear trend there. A lot of weaker sides playing LFC and getting done over late as they tire and our team puts on fresh legs and options. Not every late goal was us battering the door down and breaking resistance. about half are in leading positions and we counter and score. esp in europe. We've had one goal on 80mins or later v a top half side all season. thats trents goal v city. All the others are sides trying to defend and sitting back. I suppose having the ball and control of it is indeed the best way to defend.
