Yeah but we got Saliba Agree, tough match tonight hmmmmm to the prediction... I reckon another away win, cant have the scousers on top!
Not gonna be easy - particularly after a tough game at Luton but if we play to 90% of our best we win.
Ah well. We only loose games where there's clear corruption involved it seems. Did Havertz's hand touch the bell - Yes, Did Matty Cash's hand touch the ball first.. Yes clearly. Surely then it's a penalty.. to us? ..but again they weren't looking at that. They were just looking at Havertz.
This was always going to be difficult with Villa looking strong and in such good form and us still rather patchy at times. Must have been a good feeling for Emery
Just seen some highlights of the game. Villa’s home form is red hot at the moment, and whilst losing against them is no disgrace, some of the finishing that was on display was. Odegaard, Jesus, Saka all missing some big chances that would have rendered the ref’s poor decisions to be irrelevant (Gillett is not a top-level standard referee at all, he’s appalling). We had enough opportunities to win that last night and instead we kept fluffing our lines. Don’t think Villa deserved all 3 points, but this is what we get when we don’t score the chances presented to us and then defend carelessly for the one major chance that they had. Frustrating loss. Just have to take this on the chin and move on. PSV next in a dead rubber. I don’t want Arteta taking any of the big guns to Eindhoven at all. Full focus has to be on Brighton and nothing else.
We were the better side. Not sure what's wrong with Odegaard this Season - he's just not playing at his best level.
That ain't corruption...its a correct decision cos the rules are ****e. A defender is allowed an unintentional handball if his hand is in a natural position but an attacker isn't.
It is... even I can't make this ****e up According to Law 12.1 of the IFAB rules, it is a foul if a player deliberately touches the ball with their hand or arm - usually by moving their hand or arm towards the ball. It is also a foul if the contact comes as a result of a player trying to make their body unnaturally bigger. This is a regular point of contention, so to quote the laws: "A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. Article continues below advert "By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised." The proximity of the player from where the ball was struck is often taken into consideration when referees are judging whether a deliberate action has been taken. Additionally, a goal can be ruled out for handball if it has been scored either directly from a player's arm or hand - no matter the intent - or immediately after they have played the ball with their hand or arm
Jesus wept. The PGMOL are doing their very best to ruin the best league in the World. It's embarrassing that such high level sport has soo low a level of officiating.
But you forget about rule 13a subsection c which clearly states (and I quote)... ****em there gooners!
