Doddsy says he understands the narrative from last time he was in charge and he definitely wants to make up for it. Context very different. Says they have tweaked some of the processes in the build up to this match. Training been really good.
Dodds feeling more comfortable leading the team this time around having worked with the group for the last year or so Understand fans nervous about how he faired last time he took the team
Dodds coming across well in the press conference in my humble. Wish they would sort the bloody mic out so it's easier to hear the questions as well
Hopefully the setup at the club now means it's business as usual if and when the Head Coach departs. Other than Uncle Tone and his bag full of revels, the players should see any difference. Hopefully this is a world away from the Doncaster/Cheltenham debacles
I like the bit where he explained the planning and that it was and is part of his role. When a new man comes in he will be shown the plan and obviously can change it, but the plan is there ready. Sounded confident in the team and his ability, all we can do is wait and see. No doubt he will get pounced on for mentioning metrics and statistics through
Cheers as always @RTB Agree Pritchard to start. A win will give the whole place a boost ahead of the New manager coming in and Leeds game midweek Will be tough game but we have the players
Thought Dodds spoke well. Fair play for facing up to what went on last time. Sounds like the players have taken things in their stride. Hoping they start fast and get on the front foot early, then dont back off. To me they have looked like they go into their shells if they dont get the lead. Be nice to see that go out of their games. Like others I would start Pritch.
Mike Dodds Presser: I want to make it really clear in terms of that planning process that's not just because they've given me responsibility of the team. I would have done that for Tony previously anyway. That's no different to what we would have previously done before. When I worked under Tony and similar with Alex we would plan two or three games in advance, so that's not something new. I don't want to be kind of quoted that we've changed what we are trying to do. The plan is the plan and whoever the new guy is I'll show him the plan, and if he wants to change that it's his responsibility. At least when he comes in that transition is smooth and seamless
