Probably our worst performance of the season.

Without Maddison and Bentancur we could play for a month against an organised bus and not score.

    Very frustrating.

Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Son, Kulu and Johnson all woeful.

I’ve said the same. He’s going against his own principles in doing this. Some really poor management from him over the last 4-5 weeks.

It allows Bissouma to push higher up the pitch, bridging the gap between midfield and attack

Now, technically bringing on Sarr could also do that, but Ange seems to prefer Sarr in the middle of the pitch rather than the deeper role Bissouma is played in

Let’s still trust the long term process but I’m becoming doubtful.

Terrible 2nd half, never looked like scoring but I stand by the fact that both goals conceded were lucky, we can't buy any luck at the moment.

glad you’ve noticed. I genuinely see no change. All I see is us passing the ball from one side of the pitch to the other to no avail.

Completely agree. We were like a team of Harry Winks today.

Maddison is a huge miss. Fantastic signing and clearly irreplaceable

I still think long term we’re gonna be an extremely fun watch, especially with more signings and key players returning but we’re certainly seeing a huge level of naivety and some contradictive decisions from Ange in recent weeks.

Bissouma was definitely in and around their box in the latter stages due to having license to push up - but when he did push up his safety-first passing meant he was passing it sideways 10-20 yards further up the pitch and there wasn't a Maddison to pass it sideways to

This is somewhat similar to how Poch struggled against busparquet, as Dembele could drive up the pitch with the ball - but if Eriksen wasn't there to do something with the space he created, the move broke down

3 of the last 4 we have lost 2-1 having scored first, and I don't think that we were outplayed in any of those 3 matches. Small margins at the moment and we are currently on the wrong side of them.

Newcastle next will be very tricky then Forest with in all likelihood some new manager bounce and then Everton whose form is picking up that will probably be 8 without a win!

no one could cope with the players we’ve got out, plus the temporary suspensions we’ve faced during this period. In general, the football this season is much better and we have belief, but it’s become apparent at just how much the drop in quality is beyond the first XI. We might be showing that we’re capable of playing to ange’s style with the squad players, but We’ve been unrecognisable in terms of quality and how clinical we appeared to be since we capitulated in the Chelsea game, bar a decent second half vs city. unfortunately it’s gonna take until players come back in the new year, or Daniel gets his wallet out in the January transfer window before we can be as positive as we were at the start of the season.
As I said a couple of weeks ago, morale needs to be managed. Thank **** we got a result against city to boost the players, because 4 defeats from 5 is bad enough.
And Newcastle next, which doesn’t fill me with any hope whatsoever.

The Chelsea second half exposed Ange’s tactics and for me he’s not recovered since.

Spurs badly need a win soon or like it or not, he will be under real pressure (rightly so imo)

Talking the talk is well and good but ultimately results are the thing which keeps managers in a job.

hard to think it would be possible 5 games ago. But 1 point from 15 having taken the lead in every single game is really poor, injuries or not.

We have very short memories if we can't recall over a dozen almost identical performances and outcomes under Poch.

We just don't have the technical ability to break down teams who park the bus as well as Moyes does.

I enjoy the fact that teams fear us again, but we don't have the quality to capitalise on that fear.

Maddison and Van De Ven are huge huge losses. Without them it’s just the same old faces from last season minus Kane (irreplaceable) As well as their individual ability, they make their teammates look better.

Yeah I’ve said it since then. The Chelsea game was beyond naive and for me he hasn’t recovered since then. I’m not writing him off but he needs to change something and quick because Spurs are far too easy to play against.

A deserved lose again. History has shown tippy tappy football does not work for us at the lane.

I thought Kulusevski and Johnson were particularly shocking, closely followed by Bissouma.

We should be winning these kind of home games at a medium canter.

    Disappointing.

how does he change it though? We’ve got no players. Unless he starts playing the kids. Which I wouldn’t be against to be honest. Too many of the golden oldies just aren’t up to scratch.
