Nothing bent about the women's games tonight. Netherlands score in injury time, England score with the last kick to qualify, only for Netherlands to score with their last kick to pip them. Scotland and Belgium helping their neighbours.

Scotland had a vested interest as this went towards a GB team qualifying for the Olympics. My comments were tongue in cheek, but Scotland and Belgium were shipping goals at very convenient times.

We are all immigrants. My DNA suggest my ancestors arrived 700 years ago by boat. We all arrived at some time because nobody sprung from the earth in England. Whether your 'people' arrived 2000 years ago or last week we just decided we liked rain and stayed. Then some bastard declared they were the King and the trouble started.
The irony is that the anti-immigration movement in the Tory party seems to be led by first and second generation descendants of immigrants. Yet they speak with a white, middle class British entitled voice. Should probably have put this on the politics thread
Just watching some clips on the news. His parting so young is tragic. A wonderful human being and someone who made the world a better place! (Or at least tried his best to do so)
