Hadn't City won every game at home until we played them this calendar year? Must be their away form letting them down. Funny considering you wouldn't think a half filled.stadium.would give such a home-field advantage.
3 points from the last 4 league games for City. That would be the end of the title chase for anyone else.
Villa win really mixed things up. City super vulnerable without rodri. Sone interesting games coming up. Spurs v West Ham tomorrow Everton v Newcastle. then spurs v Newcastle at weekend and villa b arsenal. Ee need to take advantage by beating palace who hit some iffy form. United at home to Bournemouth so fancy them to win. then city away to Luton, normally an absolute away banker but Luton drew with us. Almost drew with arsenal. Coukd they sprung a surprise? Or get dicked 7-0
Watching the last thirty minutes of Villa I wonder if we have to worry about the two point gap above them? They found space and controlled the game against City far easier than we did I don't think we were bad against City, City were just better. But Villa looked dominant against City.
Haven't watched the game - I choose not to watch City games when they're not winning in case I jinx it - but I think they were without Rodri and he's pretty much the only player they don't have quality back up for
Pep played 6 defenders in starting line up. Phillips needs to move, I don’t really rate him but if he can’t get a game in midfield over Lewis and stones when rodri is injured there’s no hope for him.
Villa are completely different teams home and away. Shipped 5 against the Barcodes, got tonked by us etc
Phillips is not a no 6. Gareth Southgate stuck him there. he's more box to box but is too busy eating and stuff to bother.
Oh... And talking about punishments the other day, I didn't mention Chelsea. Personal view they should get the same.punishment as Everton. Yes, their crime was worse, but it was the previous administration and they self reported it when they could have swept it under the rug and it might never have been looked into. As funny as it would be to see Chelsea go down, I don't think that would be right. They too might deserve to see silverware removed from that period though.
Yeah but in the end I would perfer their records be expunged as cheats as they were clearly doping for a decade. Not one of the trophies should be theirs. If both were expunged you'd have the hugest gaps in the history of english football to look back on. Thats why it won't happen. not for right or fairness but because the show would be damaged the argument the fans already celebrated is bullshit imo. they can sit lording their glory years bought as a cheat for decades yet. if they were expunged they can have thier memories but can't annoy other people with the,
Regardless of how likely it is, It definitely would send a strong message of "stop being cheating bastards" if they erased all City and Chelsea's wins.
