Was standing on Elland Road after the game on Saturday and found myself looking straight at a mural of Marcelo Bielsa and thinking what the fook were we thinking of when we got rid of such an absolute gentleman and true footballing genius. Not to mention how could we be so ungrateful for his total dedication and commitment the club, the fans and the city of Leeds.

Made me feel slightly sad and also ashamed for the lack of loyalty shown when he deserved so much better.

And guess what. If Farke gets us promoted and we’re in bottom four this time next year, he’ll be treated exactly the same. It’s the nonsense of the modern game. Still about ten more sackings due in pl this season. Bielsa was sacrificed by orta so he could keep his cushy number but so few saw through it

A Bielsa who had lost it was still better than the likes of Marsch, Gracia and Allardyce combined.

And I don’t agree he had lost it btw. Extremely unlucky with injuries. Seems to be doing great with Uruguay.
Injuries he had no cover for due to his insistence on a very small squad. I agree rads and orta were to blame as well. But rads was happy enough not to spend anymore on bad transfers and collect his millions from the 49ers.

He insisted any signings would have to be of a certain quality which club were unwilling or unable to provide. Hence as soon as he left a container load of rubbish was imported from all over the continent when orta was left to his own devices

Rads was just waiting to cash in and Bielsa was going home in the summer anyway. He was living alone and piled weight on but look at him now.
