Haaland missed two sitters yesterday, one was an open goal from 10 yards out. Nunez had a bad game but I don’t give up hope on him. I’ll get my coat

Nunez contributes a lot more to a game than just goals so I'm not giving up on him. He seems better when he has time to set himself, he's not good at taking those instantaneous opportunities that an out-and-out CF should.
Like you said, even Haaland can screw up, but Darwin does it better. :)
Mo missed a snatched opportunity as well that Nunez would be getting a lot of grief for.

Kelleher made me appreciate how much we need Alisson, a really poor showing from him.

The same old issue with Trent - it's not what we gain from him being in midfield - it's what we lose down the right.
I'm resigned now to never seeing him back in his old position, so we need to get someone else in it. We're so vulnerable down that side.

Watching highlights the Nunez misses weren’t even as bad as made out. One was on an angle on the stretch and he smashed it against the bat - really unlucky.

the other was a volley 10 yards out that he scuffed under pressure - again no the worse miss in the world.

Salahs miss was far worse and expect him to put that away with ease.

The second is really poor. Thats just rank with his left foot and that has to go all day.

I agree salah's miss was terrible. He's got to be finishing form there and making sure.

I was expecting Ronnie type misses on MoTD
I thought the one that hit the bar was a cracking effort tbh

    I agree.
I expect the negative reaction was frustration that the game seemed to be lost at one point. I can imagine the groans when Endo came on as well, and look what happened.

What a roller coaster game that was. Were the goals four screamers or four stunners? It's hard to keep up with the latest buzz words. Very harsh giving Trent's first as an og.

Came on here today to say, i think Salah's miss at the back stick was worse than any of Dawin's today imo.

Nunes also played some lovely passes, most notedly the little flick to Szlob, who is then fouled for the freekick for Trent's first. Also the little dink over the top for Salah in the second half.

His all round play has come on leaps and bounds and we can just hope the same happens with his finishing .

Yeah his link up initially reminded me of Jota. Not very good. But his passing in and around the box seems to be getting better - most notably his link up with Salah.

The pass couple weeks ago for the goal against Brentford where laid it off. Then as mentioned couple nice flicks over the top for Salah yesterday that led to chances.

Guys getting there. Atm despite the misses think he’s still offering a net positive with his all round game. He just needs to stick some of these chances away. Don’t think ever going to hit Salah numbers (at least not consistently) but if he can his say rashford numbers of 12//15 a season and conbine with his all round play will be plenty.

Can see him at some point having a freak 5/6 games where bangs in 10 or somethjng then goes on a drought for another 5 though. Think that’s just type player he is atm

He should have done better at the first two goals - and the disallowed one.
Hopefully just a bad day for him.

If he sorts his finishing, he'll be a lethal player

he did in benfica and convinced klopp so at some point he either will sort it or he will just keep blasting ot in the general direction of goal and hope for the best.

i always want him in the team purely because ha always causes problems for the opposition defence even if in the end nothing came of it and on that point i do like the way even if it isn't happening for him he keeps making the runs and never hides an obvious example being yesterday .

This really depends on what is wanted.

If we want to be sort of OK then a lad shooting wildly and getting 15 might be OK but if we want to win things then we need a guy to score the key goals when chances are limited against top sides.

But we can say the same about defence and midfield leaking
