The level of anger is way beyond what it should be for just a standard disagreement. If one poster thinks a virus has been generated in a laboratory, it shouldn't cause such an aggressive reaction by those who disagree - it's a sign of brainwashing and learned response behaviour that in the majority of other subjects wouldn't exist. No different to a cult and how their members respond or certain behaviour shown in war, where any opposite beliefs are turned upon.
The lab stuff doesn't bother me. it's just standard conspiracy bollocks. The reason people like me get angry about some of the Covid anti-science ****e is because it's got people killed. Not necessarily connected but for over two months had nasal congestion, get banging head during night and de hydration to when I wake up , it goes in an hour or two . Been to docs assistant doing Beconase but I had a much worse chest infection last year about same time - at least I’m punctual . Anyone experiencing the same at all ?
Wow. That's some reaction from a couple of posters! Yet I've not said anything about those things that might understandably make some people angry. I'm no conspiracist, probably near the opposite. I've only posted that the virus came from the lab. Of course it did. Wake up.
Covid is rife again. Running riot through local schools. Also, I was recently away on a weeks holiday. On both the plane and in the hotel, the number of people with deep chesty coughs was ridiculous.

It's almost as if it's 'cough colds & sneezes' season as it used to be called... And my sinuses have been playing up chronic with the cold / damp weather (I'm on a long term nasal spray prescribed by GP - helping most of the time)
It's doing the rounds up North too...People have begun to forget that covering your nose or mouth when you're sneezing or coughing was always the done thing,even with the common cold and flu. Daft twats are turning up at work with **** knows what and sputtering their germs everywhere.I refused to attend a work briefing on Weds in an enclosed meeting room because there were coughers and sneezers aplenty.Didn't go down very well due to my agency status and I'll probably get bumped when it goes quiet after the New Year but I don't want their ****ing germs
Yep, something else to add to the 'grinds my gears'. Some do have the decency to cover up and / or at least turn away, but so many just don't bother. Again, what the hell is wrong with some people these days! I'll likely get clipped by someone soon as I find it hard to refrain from saying something like 'thanks a lot for that' when yet another person coughs pretty much in your face. Good on you for making a stand, hopefully it doesn't go against you, it should go for you for showing them some common sense.
The lab was round the corner. The Chinese (and the US who were part funding the centre) denied access while they covered up. Enough scientists have now explained how the make up of the virus shows that it didn't / couldn't have occurred naturally (or at least was incredibly unlikely to have done so). But besides that, no, zero evidence. As Plum wisely said on another thread, "we'll have to agree to differ on that, I'm not getting into a 20-page debate".

As it details the results of all the investigations and gives context to some of the claims made, I think it at least provides balance and information. I’ve already said I have no idea where the virus originated, but I’m not the one telling people they need to ‘wake up’.
