Thats so bad, he didn't make an effort for something he could have saved and then had the cheek to shout at the outfield players.
Don't know what Allsop was bellyaching about, shouldn't have been so far off his line and I thought he could have had a go at saving it.
By not thinking its going over and jumping in the air with his hands, he basically stopped going for it.
He was backtracking, had he set off a second earlier he would have saved it. Couldn't do much else. Delap lost the ball, then there was nobody to close down Hoedt.
Yes but the ball can often be lost like that, I thought he was too far off his line when the ball's still in his own half.
For a keepers POV he should and could have saved it, it looks to me like he just got his positioning wrong start to finish, It looks to me like he thought it was going over and just didn't make the effort to save it unfortunately. It's a piss poor mistake from him and it's not his first recently.
I was never lobbed, but jumping while backtracking you get nowhere near the height as you do running forward. I agree he was way out of position, but he probably wasn't expecting a turnover that far out, let alone for him to hit it.
