Just think rhe next few games may be neat suited to Pritchard or Dack. An older head higher up the pitch is needed I think. Someone to remind the young lads about the best options.

I always want our homegrown lads to get a leg up. So much to be gained by having a conveyor belt to that first team. Rigg seems to have been forgotten a little with the emergence of Adil, no problem with that because Adil looks a talent as well. But I saw enough from Rigg in his appearances to date to think he is probably the most dynamic and impactful of our fringe players and given his chance he would grab it with both hands. I bet he is absolutely chomping at the bit and I wouldnt be surprised if he came in and pushed himself up alongside Jobe and Adil in our demands.

Possibly mate but i think Pritch seems to perform better when coming off the bench, when hopefully the game is a little more open

Great thread as always RTB. I genuinely feel we'll get well beaten, UNLESS we go back to the way we played last year. We've bought all these players with pace that we've all been crying out for, and last year it worked well. We passed quickly, and moved forward quickly which terrified the opposition. Certainly our last 10 games (maybe more) we've started playing at walking pace crossing across the backline, giving the opposition time to get back into position. By the time we pass to Clarke or Roberts there are loads of defenders on top of them, or able to cope with the crosses coming in. This limits us to long distance shooting, which looks impressive if it works, but it clearly isn't. The way we now play we no longer need our fast players, so in my eyes we have gone backwards. My opinion only before I get pelters

It is a good point mate and quite true. He made a difference the other night doing that.

I'd have Mayenda ahead of Burstow like.

Pritchard has got that natural football intelligence that must be very hard to coach. The younger lads would do very well to really watch him and understand what he does. It’d be great if Jobe, Rigg and Aouchiche can absorb some of that.

I’m hopeful that Dack can contribute too. He’s like an inside the 18 yard box version of Pritchard.

Went for 1-2 but they need to at least want it. The other night they looked totally disinterested. Was it the cold weather (I fkn hope not). Praying they get back to some semblance of form.
As is the norm RTB cheers my fine fellow.

Thankyou RTB. Having lost to Huddersfield ( 21st) and Plymouth (20th) , didn’t realise that Millwall were down at - 19th !
Surely they can’t make this a miserable triple — but feel we won’t manage better than a draw

I can't predict any scores in this league - it's mad
QPR (22nd) just beat Preston (8th) and Sheff Wed drew with Leicester in the week. :emoticon-0145-shake

Been sat thinking about the team and as always trying to look on the bright side.

Would a subtle change to 433 help?

    .......................Patto

    Hume.........Ballard.....09.......Huggins

    ..............Ekwah......Neil.....Adil

    ........Mayander......Rusyn......Clarke

Midfield 3 more like the Liverpool 3 where they are fluid in who stays and who goes, but Adil given more licence to get forward out of the 3

Maybe more longer passes than we have been used to, but could make us a bit more solid in the midfield?

Either way, we need them all to be up for the inevitable 'tactics' today.

    Haway me bonny lads

Good effort Chunk but doesn't Rusyn have a groin strain and isn't available.
Put Ba on the right instead.

Must have missed that as I've been away with work. If that's the case then agree with your suggestion and swap Ba in on the right

Despite the inevitable rumours of divisions and problems with Mowbray, the players, Speakman, etc, they all look and sound pretty much together to me ...

... put any 50 highly charged blokes together and there'll be blow ups and disagreements.

Just look at this place <laugh>
