The 'identikit' thing always irritates me. Seems to just be used to describe any modern stadium. Ours is pretty unique I'd say, and in a pretty unique location. Only thing I'm jealous of about clubs with older grounds is having a proper name that isn't just whoever's currently sponsoring it. The Circle is perfect, but no one uses it.
Watford's is nothing unusual either these days, but still nice, compact and modern. I certainly wouldnt go onto their forum and knock it. All of the older grounds are now really dated, and not pleasant places to watch football
But I meant it this time. I thought this … may have given the game away. “Long history in the fishing industry.”
Omg who can forget Bali Hai and its fabulous Kontiki suite, ohhhh I can smell the plastic even now lol
Bali Hai and Beirkeller ( or however the fk ya spell it) then for the posers the Waterfront lol Even worse I remember going to the lunch time does at Hoffenbraus, with the rough as hell strippers !! Dear jesus I'm getting old !
Our stadium was lauded for being more unique to the point Brighton hired the same architect I believe
Ha ha, I got a YTS job in the Printing Department of Jarman and Flint in Anlaby, who used to supply all the Spar and Frank Dee shops in the area and one day my boss said to me he was going to take me into town to pick up some supplies from Hull Drawing. All went well until he announced that we were going to Hofbrauhouse for lunch. I was terrified that anyone I knew might see me going in or coming out, if you’ll excuse the pun! The experience nearly put me off for life. Well, a couple of hours at least.
That’s what happens when you’re trying to post and the wife is rattling away in your ear about her bad day at the office!
I worked in centre of town, in the old Co-op building that's been empty for about 40 years, that's how long ago it was...Fellow worker said, 'come on lets go into the Hoff (or words to that effect) there's topless dancers on.' 'Okay,' I said reluctantly. I hasten to add. I ended up throwing my lunchtime burger at the poor unfortunate dancer, she was that thin.
Watching the behind the tigers video, Delap and Morton really get on well together, clearly enjoying each other's company both on and off the field.
Me too, Liam said since arriving he has put on 3 or 4 kilos of muscle, which is helping him handle the physicality of the game. We certainly look better balanced with him and Christie on the right going forward.
