No punishment for Trend. https://www.90min.com/posts/decision-made-on-trent-alexander-arnold-goal-celebration-punishment
So Klopp confirms Alisson's injury is a 'little bit of something', Jota still 'unsure' and no injury to Macallister.
I'm guessing Z meant - clear as mud. I was just reiterating my original post and not using Klopp's actual words from today's presser, to show nothing has changed.
I don't think anyone can dispute the fact that Nunez needs to improve this conversion rate. But his overall pressing and link up play have improved significantly since last season and we are a more dangerous team when he's on the pitch.
He seems to have a great relationship with Salah. They seem to get on and Nunez is always looking for him (sometimes to the detriment like at city where tried to pass instead is shooting 1 time). Id inagine Salahs stats are a lot better with nunes up top than Jota or gakpo and it’s because Nunez runs defence ragged and opens up much more space for Salah with his movement. It’s a team game and if he scored 10 goals a season with 5 assists but we win things I’d rather than that him standing 6 yards out and banging in 25 but getting no where and being a detriment to the rest of the team.
Salah's stats are always top. he's on 13 and 5 for the season from 19 so thats 18 goal contributions from 19 games. Ok last night he got a bouncy assist to gakpo that wasn't counted and a pen but still... its not too shabby. Nunez and salah have done well but so has diaz, gakpo and jota. They have all chipped in with goals. jota with 8, darwin 7, gakpo, 6 and diaz 5. the others have all <1000 minutes while salah has piled on 1400 mins already. its actually 1 goal in 2 games at the most for each of them on just minutes. What we are actually not seeing is much else coming form the rest of the team. Gravenberch got two handy ones in europa as did endo. Szobo scored 2 and trent just opend his account. no CB goals at all. That just suggests we are now relying a bit on the forwards and could do with starting to chip in from set piece in these games, esp the ones with the lesser light teams that sit deep..
Nunez is not a finished article yet, the good thing is that Klopp still believes in him.. His best is yet to come.
under Pep, he’s benched and forgotten about. Under Klopp he will be given the chance to become a world class player….though he still needs to take that chance. Klopp is the best coach in the world imo and has achieved a lot with a fraction of the spend and no financial doping.
We're doing alright for goals. You can never have too many of course, but it's not an area for concern atm. Might become one when Mo buggers off for Afcon, though.
Do you reckon if we get a life size cutout of Mo and put it in or, if rules don’t allow, behind the goal that will solve an issue when Mo goes to AFCON
