SMHBCFC and Away In BC.

I see you've copied Away In BC's match list SMH and that wasn't wise. The first game on Wednesday evening is Blackburn v Birmingham City, not Rotherham v Birmingham City. He's mistyped it and you've copied it.

That rather raises the question for both of you as to what you have actually forecast: did you compare the right two teams or the wrong ones?

I've entered the scores as you've given them at present but if you want to change them please do so before 7:45pm tomorrow. I'll check before declaring the prediction scores.

 

It's now 5:45 pm. It seems unlikely we'll see a forecast from Lyndhurst at this juncture. If you want to do the Wednesday games I can put those in for you Lyndhurst.

So, subject to that, and subject to SMH and Away not having changed their forecasts for the imaginary "Rotherham v Birmingham" game as yet, this is what we have.



Favourites for wins are Hull, Leeds, Leicester and Sunderland. Particularly uncertain is Watford v Norwich with two home win forecasts, four away and one draw.

There are three jokers on the Super Match, which does look like a certain away win, but there also two each on Hull and Ipswich to win.

 

Oh yes, and another thing. Please note Sensible’a heroic prediction of over 3 goals a game. I bet he wins it too…..

Well, the first 6 games have yielded 21 goals, plus the goal that never was at Coventry, making 22. You may be on the low side!

Well, well. Sheffield Wednesday 1 -1 Leicester City! Who'd have thunk it? Well, not any of us for sure.

Fairly sparse scores again. I think we're collectively scoring less than last season which is presumably because this division is hard to predict. Sensible was top scorer on the matches themselves with 10, including two totally correct scores.

He also got the total goals award, predicting what I thought was a over-the-top 39 against an actual total of 42! Six teams scored three goals or better and in two of those games, the opposition replied with 2!



There were no changes in the table although Sensible made up quite a bit of ground on the top 2.



I'm afraid there's another short turn around: the next round starts at 8pm on Friday and runs through to lunchtime on Sunday.

As there's snow here (or at Lee Mill anyway as my spies tell me) and we have the first tranche of Christmas decorations up in the house, we'll have double points.
