Seemingly, yes, but an interaction with Baz on twitter just now seemed to suggest Villa aren't looking to bring him back so probably worrying over nothing.
My understanding is that villa can only force a sale if we get promoted this year...and I fixed fee of 15 mill
Murmurings in more windows than Europa House on Ferensway corner. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
For what it's worth Philo appears to be thoroughly enjoying his football as shown by his results this season, sometimes players and managers click for the benefit of the club, it seems from.the outside at least, that this currently is the case, and he is improving game by game, same can be said of Morton and to a certain degree Delap. Ya never know but this relationship Rosie seems to have with these players might just sway decisions. Wouldnt it be lovely to see all 3 next season playing for us in the Premier league as permanent fixtures.
Jaden does seem to be enjoying himself at the moment. Also strikes me that both Delap and Morton who didn't seem to be appreciated at their previous loan club look to be enjoying their football and are playing very well. I think Rosenior deserves a good amount of credit for that, looks like a bit of a talent he has.
Just my thoughts (Obvs not important) Philogene and Morton are not yet capable of playing top 6 in the prem but soon they will be, I think Delap will also be playing regular in the premiership one day. It goes a long way to make a statement of how we are trying to play. Good platform for Jaden and a great loan so far for the other 2..... UTT
Certainly not by all. I saw plenty of him and was impressed, so when I knew we were in for him I thought he’d be perfect for us. However, quite a few Blackburn supporters that I’ve spoken to since are surprised at how well he’s doing for us and the England U21’s, as they weren’t that impressed with him last season. Strange but I don’t think it’s sour grapes. Having said all of that, I remember us having a certain Mark Noble on loan and not being overly impressed, so who knows!
I must admit to having somewhat of a shocked Pikachu face when I saw Lee Peltier come on for Rotherham. He looked less than average for us, perhaps it was his age, but to still be playing in the Championship when he played for us alongside Ray Parlour, Deano, Ash and Barmby seems surreal. Can’t be many of our former players from those days still playing. In fact, having just checked, the only other one is Matty Plummer at Ferriby. Also, Sam Collins hasn’t aged well.
Rosie on expiring contracts (particularly Christie's after his comments in the past week)... "Cyrus has been magnificent, especially in my time working with him," the City boss told Hull Live. "He's a really positive influence in the dressing room. He allows me to be (flexible in my approach). Cyrus can probably play five different positions in my system which he did on Saturday (at Swansea). "For me, it's about working with Cyrus. I'm really happy with him and we've just got to make sure that the timing of contract discussions are at the right time. "Cyrus is a massive part of what I'm trying to do here and if he keeps performing in the way he performs he's got absolutely nothing to worry about. "That's a club decision. I know that's what the club do here and did before I came here, they put an option into every player's contract and I think now the players know with me that I base everything on performance. If you perform well, I look after you. And not just performance, but character, culture and being a good leader in the dressing room and all of those things that are vitally important. "With me, I work on trust, if we work well together you have absolutely nothing to worry about. In Cyrus' case, or in Doc's case or in Adama's case, and the same as every club in the Championship, we've got decisions to make but it's still very early in the season and there's still a lot of football to be played."
If you're counting Ferriby, didn't Adam Bolder score for them the other week? Must've played for us about 10 years prior to Peltier or Plummer.
Nicky Featherstone is still at Hartlepool. Liam Cooper played in that team didn’t he? As did Tom Carney.
