feels that way. Think the only thing that delays it will be how long it takes to identify and chat up the replacement.

I think they all have bits about them but none look the finished player yet. Not sure we have the time to wait either. Mayenda has looked the most threatening so far though.

Fair enough IMO. We have lofty ambitions. No point pissing in the wind.

I'm not one to normally come on and share my point of view. 7 points from the last 24 available is very poor. Side is too predictable, eg ball to Clarke and runs into blind alley, or passes to Jobe, so easy to defend. Is it just me but I can't remember our team walking for about half the match, I'm sure we ran a lot more last year. I think Jobe and Clarke need dropping. Clarke looks very down and frustrated, maybe he needs a couple of matches off, Jobe will burn out if we don't give him time off. I know he didn't play international week, but thats only 1 week, even Tony thought he needed a rest before hand but keeps playing him. I'll join the o9 debate and suggest he is not the captain so he can be dropped, as he is not in form either. As someone as also suggested I agree we need our fullbacks helping the wingers. I hope Rusyn was injured because if he wasn't I believe that is bad management by Tony. If Tony persists like this with his favourite players all the time I can't see him been here at Xmas which is a shame because I like him. I expect abuse but this is my opinion only

I would stick with TM until Xmas, if he fails to correct the obvious mistakes he is making then make a change.

When he goes it will be with fond memories.

Where was Rusyn BTW...think he was missed

I love Tony Mowbray and will remember his time as manager so fondly. Last season was possibly my favourite as a Sunderland fan. I hope if he’s to go it happens before things get really messy.

Exactly this. It could have been a masterstroke if the club had gotten Farioli in the summer as it was rumoured they wanted to. Could end up being a massive missed opportunity.

Rumours of a dead leg, but I didn't read anything confirming that apart from on social media

Are folk for real? We've lost a couple of games after break and we're instantly looking to change manager. He's brought on loads of young players and we've generally played some great stuff. We're in mix. Have folk not learned that sacking managers gets you nowhere. We don't have a decent striker on books. That's the big problem for me, not Mowbray

the whole set up of the club is based around the fact that managers ARE replaceable. As evidenced by Alex Neil leaving and Mowbray picking things up immediately.

This is a world away from the mindless sacking of managers with no long term plan in the premier league

How many times have we played well this season? 3 times maybe? & we have no idea if the strikers are good or not as Mowbray has a system which doesn't provide service for the striker. Mayenda got into some great positions tonight and maybe got the ball twice, not sure how that makes him ****

I remember reading on here on Saturday morning "Easy win today v Plymouth 5-2" and I'm thinking REALLY? Then it's oh we will get back to winning ways at home v Huddersfield on Wednesday. I'm thinking REALLY? We couldn't beat them last season at home when playing well.
Our main problem apart from missing Diallo (Roberts is half the player this season compared to last season) is we haven't scored one single goal from a squad centre forward in half a season. That is unbelievable. I've never known that in the history of football with any team. Also we are leaking goals.
    Apart from that...

Largely because we haven’t signed decent centre forwards, it’s the most important position on the pitch and we have failed to improve it. We have been far too short at the top of the pitch for too long BUT that’s not TMs fault, he’s been given the wrong tools for the job. He’s tried them all and I’m struggling to pick a decent one amongst them, clearly so is TM.

Last two or three games we have had more shots than any other team in the Championship, 27 shots tonight but 1 goal.
    - that is the problem not Tony Mowbray IMHO

That’s crossed my mind as well. Mowbray hasn’t had a fair crack at the season due to the very inexperienced strikers we have. It doesn’t excuse other stuff but he still deserves plenty of credit.

That second goal has pissed me right off, mind. Just fell on a plate to them.
